  • Darren Brown is a real humanist : )

  • This was absolutely amazing.

  • there was a spy cam in the room !

  • I always expected something to jump out at you or something terrible to just happen on this show... like it would suddenly turn into a horror film.

  • Pls. do not compare Derren to Criss Angel. My 11 year old son got a magic book/dvd from our local library. Many of Angel's (cheap) tricks are in there. It is all fake, and not that hard to do. You'd be amazed how easy "card forcing" is for example. Plus, I picked up a marked/stripped deck for him at Disneyland - he became an instant magician! Man, magic is EASY if you have the right props. Derren is on a different level. He can f*ck with your mind....

  • @cmelodicminor, that must be why people spend their entire lives studying sleight of hand...

  • Some people think this is fake

    Yes, ALL magic is TRICKS

BUT there is real PSYCHOLOGY and a thing called PRIMING

and this is real psychology at work

Yes, some of derrens stuff he lies about. thats the point. Magicians are supposed to be misleading. He even says he mixes psychology, magic, suggestion and tricks etc.

Some of this is REAL psychology and other bits are fake tricks.

I can assure you this is real psychology priming

I'm going for a phd in psychology after my senior year this year

  • if you dont believe it or dont like it, please dont ruin the vid with all your negativity..just because something is impressive or complicated doesnt make it impossible..open your mind

  • What is this... Criss Angels brother?

  • @happydancer2009 Criss Angel's bribes his audience. He's fake, This guy actually studies psychology and human behavior. He's for REAL.

  • They're in on it.

    It's television.

  • that's the point, it's all a trick. he's trying to expose fake mediums. which is all of them.

  • That's the point,

    it's not magic, nor fantastic,

it's all skill and knowledge, fake.

  • All his skill and knowledge seems fake. It's like he pays people to do stuff like this.

  • his skill and knowledge IS pretty fantastic if you ask me..

  • Well, that's not what I had in mind.. I would need to consider the people buying these products.. Hunters and Rich Conservatives.. I would then look for targets that conservatives look for... Fancy emblems rather than wings, Some more majestic standpoint of what a bear should look like, and maybe a picture of a hunting rifle to show style. If I just listed dead animals, people wouldn't want to buy the product even if it's registered in their minds.

  • fantastic! this clearly proves that marketing people have much to learn from psychologist. the spychologist guy could have used not onyl visual but auditory stimulus in order to predict the outcome.

  • this guys a menace

  • what does "a" mean?

  • derren is right. what an amazing big effort this must have been :o

  • can anyone make out what was that package the man was holding. he walks outside through the revolving doors as they were walking inside. i just thought it might have been another hint derren tried to get them to see

  • Yes, its another set of wings. He is also wearing a badge with them on it as well.

  • lol, still trying to get your crazy theory across

  • lol go watch your criss angel crap. this show shows him messing with peoples minds, which is as good as it gets.

  • the music at the beginning is lovely, does anyone know what tune it is?

  • So much for "creativity" lol

  • look at when theyre in the car during the first few minuits and pause at some and u can see where they got their ideas from..

one of the black board out side teh coffe store has the wings lookalike and sed creature heaven

  • Very nice observation

  • oh yeah, very nice observation, now that i look back you can see everything. the school children crossing the road all have wings on the jumpers.

  • and same with the harp in the window

  • Not as good as the stuff at: mindreadingexposed_dot-com_

Any book on stage hypnosis should cover a fallback induction. Derren does it very boldly and dramatically by being behind the person though and that's not a beginners move.

  • that guy said slightly stoopid lol. if you've never heard of the band just ignore this gibberish post haha

  • I was informed that apes wore full body hair!

  • Not as good as the stuff at: mindreadingexposed_dot-com_

I recommend watching the show Messiah by Derren Brown, Instant Conversion is a part of that show. Basically, Derren travels around USA pretending to have supernatural abilities like being psychic? and being able to talk to the dead. He never explains how he does it, but he just say's that he's faking it.

  • DEAD PETS R-US LOL

  • What a dumbass it's a truck.

  • intresting, its amazing how much one can do jsut by thinking

  • what does the fact that he is a ginger have to do with it? who cares... jesus... he's tallented none the less.

And if nothing else, he's quite a sexy ginger.

  • thats not right!! its false and all lies!!! i dont believe this fakeness!! derren brown is ginger he doesnt have black hair!! the phycology/subliminal advert trick i believe is true! his hair is a lie lol

  • wow....

was this real? i wouldn't be surprised if it was..but would they have noticed the paper taped to the spinny door?

  • I seriously doubt subliminal messages are as powerful as this video portrayed them to be.

  • Definitely. What if they hadn't looked out the windows in the cab? I was under the impression that subliminal messaging, to truly be effective, needed time to set in. A 10-minute cab ride isn't enough to implant enough to give the result shown at the end.

  • I'm sorry that they obviously mislead you and subliminal messaging.

May I ask where you got your degree in cognitive/psychodynamic psychology from?

    Idiot.

  • Aren't you a clever little shitpickle.

If you're going to call someone an idiot make sure your post is actually coherent.

  • It is, in fact, a perfectly coherent post.

So... While we're at it, let us look at some of the more subtle points that you poignantly missed:

The 'obviously' was ironic given the context of my reply.

Cognitive and psychodynamic are both valid domains of psychology, and are not mutually exclusive of one another as some domains are.

The entire middle stanza, I call it such because when compared to your comment mine is virtually prose, was sardonic.

And then... well... yeah. I called you an idiot.

  • Neither of your posts are coherent. You can't "mislead subliminal messaging" because subliminal messaging is not a person or creature with a mind to be mislead. It's like saying, "I'm sorry they obviously mislead you and pumpkins." Not very coherent.

And wow, the stanza thing--way to totally fail at being pseudointellectual, Mister Sardonic. Prose is not poetry, it's prose. Stanzas do not occur in prose. Please refrain from using terms you do not understand while calling other people idiots.

  • So, double fail on your part then.

Prose can actually be defined as a medium which differs in style from poetry because of a "greater irregularity and variety of rhythm and its closer correspondence to the patterns of everyday speech", this does not mean it is always common speech.

  • I never said it was "common speech." I said stanzas do not occur in prose.

  • And I said, that they do by the Italian standard.

Making it appropriate to use there, unless you're an incompetent Englishman.

It also presses the point that even in English, it is close to correct.

  • Which not only makes the term very applicable to what I was talking about, but also makes the use of "stanza", using the Italian definition (As it is an Italian word), which refers to the sentence immediately before the 'stopping point', very appropriate.

So, way to totally fail at being pseudointellectual.

Mister I have no knowledge about language, within any language, or it's use.

  • How is it very applicable, then?

  • Easily applicable, unless you're an incompetent Englishman.

  • hmm i wonder how realistic this is

  • silly humans ;p

  • this is somthing people should start thinking about.
