I see this as very biased german video. EVO magazine says exactly the opposite from this S5 and the video makes it clear that the car has some of those moments when oversteer turns suddenly into severe understeer. And notice how violent he is with the steering to extract some oversteer. The video shows anything but a sports car in terms of handling.

@tRAshJDM now there are two completely different kinds of driving aids..the ones you find in an audi (which stop you from going fast in order to be safe) and the ones yoy find in an evo (which help you go faster)..and judging by Tim Shrick's face and comments...they are AWESOME!! this is what matters...i know a mk2 escort is demanding to drive fast but then again...it's nowhere near as fast as an evo...and the evo 9 as well as the impreza ver. 9 are the last two oldschool cars remaining on sale

@leoapoelellas first of all look a lil bit the new MK6 R20, it won against impreza STI,evo X, and it finished equal with Evo X FQ400 (400 hp against 270) ;) btw. where is your mitsubishi on Dakar Rally?! Nowhere! Nasser Al-Attyah won again, VW won again ;) i am an VW fan, i watched the 2011 Dakar Rally and i saw the Pajero got stuck on a little mixture of water and sand, while a Toyota Hi-Lux was passing him normally ;)

@dsito2 first of all i know pajeros aren't very good off road...that's why i never bought one...secondly VW won the dakar rally ONLY after mitsubishi had withdrawn from the event as an official factory team..and tell me where on earth did a vw r20 won against an a evo x and an imprezza sti....especially an evo fq400!! i mean the r20 is a good car but not evo-good!

@dsito2 first of all..anyone could post a video on youtube and write anything he wants about the cars horsepower..i could write that my opel corsa has 1000 bhp...second: if the golf is chipped it's faster on a straight line than the stock evo..and by no way in hell an r20 when when it's chipped it can beat an fq400 on a straight line...only if the evo's driver mishifts 2 gears!.bottom line..look at videos of best motoring and see STOCK cars competing and you'll get an idea of what's what..

@dsito2 first of all the fq-400 is a limited edition model only for UK market..so the video you saw at best motoring had a stock evo x sst not an fq 400..and second of all..man if you can't tell the difference between an fq-400 and a stock evo you have no idea about cars...and if i'm not mistaken you also said that the evo was fwd as well!!!who's the dumbass now?

I love Audi and Mitsu and currently own an Evo 10, I went with the 10 to offset the non luxury interior and look of the 9 and still out perform audis the vid clearly states that it's a select consumer that will drive the Evo and I'm proud to be one of that group although I love audi's as well, the Evo 10 is perfectly fit for me.

I would take the S5, yeah the EVO would be fun, but the Audi is dynamic and fast, And you can use it like a normal car on normal roads normal everyday driving...Plus, it's an Audi! :)

The Mitsubishi Evo wins because it can vector torque between rear wheels, but the upgraded S5(V6 one - currently on sale) has even more sophisticated AWD system and differential setup because it uses a clutch based differential in the rear that's more efficient than the one in the Evo.

@leoapoelellas i see you commented on every comment posted here, soo i will clear your mind a lil bit ;) the quattro system is the best AWD and everybody agree, soo correct me if i'm wrong but i think the awd system is better then fwd. if we talk about quality audi again wins cause german engineering is way better of japanese, and still if you look 2.0 turbo and 4.2, soo bigger engine, more complicated but still more stronger and it can do a lot of km without repairing anything! Audi 1:0 ;)

@dsito2 both cars are 4wd;-).quattro is a 4wd system developed 30 years ago and it uses a torsen diffenrential at the centre and two differentials front and rear..the evo's 4wd system is way more advanced than the audi's. it has an active differential at the back with AYC, an active differential at the centre and a limited slip front differential..as diffs go you have the simple differential(the ones audi has got) then limited slip diffs and then the much more complicated active diffs...

@leoapoelellas look the audi's quattro system is made for all roads (like the model of the audi Allroad) ;) the evo's 4x4 is more based for racing, the audi's is more for road and less for race ;) but still i would choose the audi, more history (of the maker), the materials of what it is made has better quality so that's the result of this audi that is more expensive. the evo is nice too, but this are 2 different models, audi is luxury, evo i would drive without to be careful if i scratch it ;)
