  • Ha! My motorbike does that and it's far more impress......oh, hold on. Dam those RAF boys :)

  • What a nice looking plane! What does England use as a bomber force now that they don't have the V-bombers any longer? Or do they just do without? And how is is that they can fly this baby still when they can't fly other old jets because of BS "noise pollution" laws?

  • delta winged planes are so sexy. i love the avro vulcan. it reminds me of the B-58 hustler another sexy plane.

  • @chillaxer1993I know what you mean, the B-58 especially...but I like them all. Mirage 2000 anyone? Or a Saab Draken, one of my favorites. Delta canards just aren't the same, even if they are technically "better". Even the F-102/106 is a cool looking plane, with those triangle wings and fins. Not beautiful like a B-58, but still very appealing.

  • He did it on purpose i'm sure

  • Bee: zzzzzzz

Vulcan: *Sorry, the mic has just been destroyed*

    Pilot: (trolllface)

  • sexy piece of kit that is

  • that's a win

  • Bumblebee likes that jet.........

  • is that ratcliffe power station in the background ?

  • Bruntingthorpes a great place stayed there on a camp for the cold war jets day

  • the cars were all having orgasms

  • canadians they make the strangest stuff

  • @jamesxz12 That's not Canadian. lol, troll

  • the vulcan effect....

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lightning McQueen likes what he sees.

  • troll pilot XD

  • The Vulcan is what we might call: The successor of the B-52.

We loved the B-52, but we love the Vulcan better. XD LOOL

  • the cars were cheering

  • A proper bomber!

  • Would love to see this plane someday, England has some great looking airshows. Loud that's the name of the game !!!!

  • @skywatcher442 donate some money to the vulcantothesky campaign, then. They need it in these times, and unlike most of the rest of your money, this is definitely something unique. Once it's gone, it's GONE. See the description for a link to the official site.

  • Must be so loud for the pilots flying so slow

  • @Wonkabar007

I thought this was at Abingdon?

  • Saw a Vulcan scramble once when I was a kid...... awsome...... They have one at the Newark air museum. If you ask nicely they may let you in the cockpit.

  • I was at an air show years ago and one of these bad boys exploded an engine in its hangar.

  • It Looks like an starship that plane. beautiful

  • My favorite plane. Kind of a bad bomber, but still my favorite.

  • the russians stole the canadain avro arrow design thats sad.

  • Its a nice looking plane but performance wise, when doing what its supposed to do it was absolute crap, kept missing targets and had to fly in so slow and low that a blind man could shoot it down. Looks good in the airshows tho

  • We have one of your Vulcan's in at the Castle Air Museum in Central California.

I was there the day the aircraft was flown in from England. The Brit Pilot made two of the nicest go-arounds that you could imagine and then he set it down on the Castle Air Force Base runway with the most amazing amount of precision Ive ever seen. It was impressive. Later, the RAF came back to California to retrieve some bombing guidance systems from the XH588 for use during the Falklands War.

  • everyone reaches for their car keys..unlock...lock :P

  • pilot:trololololol

  • Ha Ha that is the way it is done.......John

  • what a troll! :p awesome jet never seen or heard of this thing before now :s

  • You made the poor cars cry XD

  • wow.. big engines for a big plane

  • I saw a Rover D:

  • Is this in farnbrough or waddington? Its a marvelous plane :D

  • @TheDashima Bruntingthorpe.

  • *plane flies by*

cars: oh shit oh shit dont kill us starscream!!

  • I was there :)

  • 7 people had their alarms set off.

  • i'm guessing they were aiming for that nuclear plant in the distance.

  • pause at 0:41 Nuclear Power Plant in background

  • It's the cars cheering!

  • Some great comments about this plane. Around 1963 when I was about 10 or 11 years of age one of these Vulcan's came over our house really slow and low It blocked the sun light out and i never forgot how grace full that plane looked. Another piece of great engineering far advance for its time

  • All those cars crapped them self's a bit. Thought they were a groundhog and that was the falcon!

  • one of my favourite planes off all times,i remember being about 6 and at school, and one did i flyby..mesmorised...that was 36 years ago..and every time i see one..love it...think theres only one left flying...

  • I love it, sounds loud as the F111 and that was the loudest jet I've ever heard

  • @Parag0n You awnt loud? Try a B-1 or an F-14.

  • @FutureMarine1775USA I've heard a F14 a number of times, the F111 was much louder.

  • @Parag0n I actually ment to say F-15, those F-100s are scary as shit. Not that I dont prefer the F-14 to the F-15...

  • old jet engines sound the best.

  • Hilarious!

  • Mini's like their owners just strive for attention

*yay look at me I got no taste in cars so i bought a mini*

*oh noes everyone is looking at the flying bus must do something to draw atttention*

  • HAHA definitely my favorite YouTube video this month! I hope to hear this in person some day! What an amazing aircraft. Love the whistling car alarms after.

  • What fantastic technology. Planes never cease to amaze me. Something soo big and heavy can fly!

  • I bet those pilots made a bet trying to see how many car alarms they could set.

  • this plane is so beautiful !!!!!!

  • Setting off car alarms is a RR Olympus specialty. Also Concorde sometimes set off car alarms when taking off (had Olympus 593 Mk610 14-28)

  • lol the decepticon don't like this aircraft :D

  • 0:06 Where are the air brakes? Top of below the wings?

  • @StefanK408 Both, but mostly top

  • The Tu-95 is MUCH MUCH MUCH more louder then that. It was known for setting off submarine detection probes in the ocean.

  • @Jaket2000 Hey Fuck Russia

  • @BBQFanNo1 At least you COULD escape your aircraft, Vulcan had no ejection system and anyone in the tail was just flat out screwed.

  • that thing looks like something batman would fly

  • Suppose it was really good in getting destroyed...

  • Saw four of these take of together at the air show at RAF Finingley a few years back ... Awesome. All time favourite :)

  • I seem to remember one at an air show when I was a kid going down the runway and then half way down just putting on the power and going vertical. Every time I use to see the Space Shuttle on tv take-off, I use to think back to that Vulcan going straight up and the sound of those four engines on full power!

  • Now that what I call horse power LLS I love when those fly over

  • Can't beat it! Roar of RR Olympus = Car alarms and crying babies!

  • so hailstone set my IMOBILISER alarm off on my corsa, but old fighter planes going past dont....

Vauxhall build quality right there ;)

  • advanced uav inbound!!!!

  • LOL

  • RON PAUL!2012

  • i dont know much about this aircraft but i assume it's out of service now and what was its main purpose?

  • @GraficzDzn Strategic bomber, only ever used in the 3,889 mile 'Black Buck' raids during the Falklands War.

  • @GraficzDzn As already said, they were only ever used during the Falklands War, 136 of them were made and out of that 136 the one in this video is the only flyable one remaining. Dubbed 'The Spirit of Great Britain'. - and may she continue to fly!! :)

  • @GraficzDzn To deliver instant sunshine to various targets in Russia, during the cold war.

  • @Wonkabar007 No sunshine for the other Soviet Socialist Republics?

  • @4ingP Well I think the Vulcan was designed for deep penetration into Russia, but instant sunshine would of been delivered to other Soviet republics by smaller fast jets.

  • @Wonkabar007 Uhh... Instant sunshine... Do you mean nukes? :D

  • @Wonkabar007 It was designed for deep penetration alright...

  • @GraficzDzn i believe it was more of a recon plane in its days of service

  • @GraficzDzn The Vulcan was designed to be a long range bomber. It was capable of carrying nuclear weapons. It was put out to pasture decades ago.

  • @GraficzDzn It was retired, but a group of people restored a Vulcan a few years ago to flying condition and it does airshows. According to Wiki, it may be involved in the opening ceremonies for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London

  • @GraficzDzn it was designed to drop nukes in retaliation if the soviet union launched them and to drop regular bombs of course

  • @GraficzDzn The Vulcan bomber was a means of nuking Russian targets if the cold war went hot. We had 100 of these babies on standby just in case and they were very nearly used.

They are seriously loud and one trick pilots use at airshows is going in low, pulling up in a steady incline and throw the burners on to get a very steep incline going.

The full noise of those engines made peoples eyes water

  • @GraficzDzn It was the UK's long range bomber during the cold war, it was retired early 80's then got a reprieve when the Falklands war started, it then took the record for the longest bombing run in history, some 8000 nautical miles.

XH558 is now the only surviving flight worthy Vulcan bomber left, supported by funds from the lottery and private companies and individuals, based at Robin Hood Airport near Doncaster ( formerly RAF Finningly ) it's back on home ground as it was once based there

  • i think it's a bomber

  • @GraficzDzn to set of car alarms in car parks, obviously....??? lol

  • @GraficzDzn to give UFO people something to talk about when it flys at night

  • @GraficzDzn Most beautiful plane ever created, the Avro Vulcan; flew through American airspace undetected in the 50's.

  • Badass plane.

  • The Avro Vulcan is a notoriously LOUD aircraft.

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN try standing under a C-5 Galaxy....

  • @wildbill6976, I've heard many C-5's. I don't think they are nearly as loud as the Vulcans were.

  • Hmmmm? witch car?

    The MINI!

  • i LOVE living near an airport. Every year I get a free airshow right over my house! I just get on my roof and enjoy. Pluss they come really close to my roof sometimes :D

  • @Singetally i totally envy you ...

  • @Ceruleanbeam hahah. One time they passed so close to my house that I could see the glass of the cockpit...loudest sound iv ever heard before.

  • What a beautiful aircraft!

  • I have footage of the Farnborough air show fly by

  • So who else thinks it's a bad idea to have an air show right next to a nuclear power plant?

  • @CKnapp12345 It might not have been nuclear, all you can really see are the cooling towers.

  • @CKnapp12345 : It's Didcot power station in Oxfordshire - an old coal/oil/natural gas burner and it's miles away. Can be seen from 50 miles distant. So there!

  • No worse an idea than any other power plant, really. Natural gas explodes. Oil spills and catches fire. All have their downsides. Most nuke plants have lots and lots of shielding (concrete, steel, lead, etc), so I'd actually think a nuke plant would be a bit safer for skilled military and enthusiast pilots to fly around. @CKnapp12345

  • @CKnapp12345 well if a jet crashed into it, the spectators will the be the second ones to know it.

  • @CKnapp12345 The walls are actually hardened against aircraft collisions.

Although, it still sucks for the pilot, because flying into 8 feet of concrete kinda hurts.

  • @CKnapp12345 Did it ever occur to you that it may not actually be a nuclear power station

  • @CKnapp12345 Well then its a good job that isn't nuclear.

  • @CKnapp12345 it has cooling towers therefore it is not nuclear.

  • @CKnapp12345 Thats not a Nuclear Power Station.....thats Abingdon I'm trying to remember if it's coal or oil fired these days...

  • @CKnapp12345 that could also be steam generators;)

  • @CKnapp12345 just because the cooling towers are that shape doesnt mean its nuclear

  • makes me want to be at an airshow right now!

  • Looks like the plane is a big vulture and the cars are like the little chicken birds, when the little chickens saw the big bird, you see in the vid what happends ..

  • my old man flew XH558 for a good long while before it was finally retired... greatest flying machine ever made in my eyes... used to make me cry like a bitch when i was little as it flew over our house near scampton

  • I did not know manta rays could fly. You see something new on YT everyday.

  • I love the Vulcan she is like Concorde's older sister. :)

  • i got a beter idea wait some powder of m80 and a soda bottle haha fail

  • For the people who think this aircraft is history, there is one flying Vulcan left in the world and she lives at Robin Hood Airport (Finningley near Doncaster, UK). She flies at airshows all over the UK and is truly an amazing sight. She needs support too as she receives no government funding. Google XH558 Vulcan To The Sky for information on flying, and to make donations!

  • the cars seem to like the show! lol

  • wow he was slow but yet cool!

  • @monkeyguy919 its a bloody big bomber which makes it look like its going slower than it is :)

it also had fantastic agility for a bomber at high altitude it could (and did) out turn f15 eagles!

  • RIP headphone users

  • wow looks so scary from below!! wow if i would see one of those in real life.. wow

  • My mum and dad saw the vulcan at an airshow while my mum was pregnant with me, apparently its howl made me jump in her belly lol

  • @XxCrazygal2007xX It's a pity that these majestic aircraft are a part of history!

  • 346 - 1 best like dislike ratio ive ever seen!!!

  • I want to set of some car alarms so ile just go out and buy a FLAMIN PLANE!!! >:(

  • Many might say that Avro developed some of the ugliest jet aircraft. I would disagree.

Avro always pushed the boundaries of aviation, and the Vulcan was no exception.

Function will always supersede looks. Long live these classic warbirds!

  • ive been in one befora at 15,00 feet

  • I thought the title was just a metaphor for how loud a Vulcan can be....... :-)

    Awsome video!

  • Awsome ! awsome! Love this baby, love it to bits.

  • i was there, and ill tell you, its loud as fuck

  • one person wanted to learn how to fly that plane and do it them self

  • If you want to imagine the size of the vulcan...go outside and find a field. imagine that field with wings and miniguns, and a tiny bubble at the front for a few pilots to sit in.

  • Ah! Memories! We were directly underneath her here. What a day that was. Thanx for the vid. We got ours, too.

  • HAAUEI HOWW KENN FLI OFF SLOHH??!! :--DDDDDDD

  • i remember at humberside airport the buccaneer doin a low pass came out of nowhere above the trees at near full pelt frightened the livin daylights outta all of us

  • ok

  • The 1 dislike is the guy whos car alarm went off.

  • @KowboyCa and his mum ;)

  • a airshow right next to a nucular reacters thatss smart

  • the one person who disliked must have been looking for a tuition video on car alarms,,,, hmmm, better for all us on planet vulcan, thats planet avro vulcan to trekies of which im also one, and in the case of this vulcan the need of the one vulcan out weighs the needs of the few, and the needs of the many vulcan fans out weighs the need of the 1 disliker

  • 1 dislike? WTF?!

  • i thhink i jizzed????

  • No car alarm is safe from the thrust of that beauty in the sky

  • The one person who disliked this video was the owner of the car that alarm is fitted to.

  • Now that is a plane I would loved to feel vibrating my pussy flying by lifting up like that.

  • @Canadian925 That i would love to see ;)

  • @Canadian925 that's a bit odd

  • i went to sunderland air museum to see this only to realise that the person with the keys to it offered me to look inside it i got a video on the account 'mrledfeb'

  • What a beast.

  • Anyone see the Nuclear Plant in the background? 0:43

  • @coltstu Yeah it looks like it's near my house xD

  • This is also the plane they used for testing the Concorde's engines. I'm sure you can see why. Even this great vid can't do justice to the REAL sound of this plane...or the Concorde. :)

  • I love the whining noise as the engines throttle up! You got to be there to really appreciate it.

  • I don't think the wings are big enough.
