This is obviously a remote desktop application streaming a Windows desktop from an actual x86-64 computer. I'm pretty certain that no one barring Microsoft and certain OEMs have access to Windows 8 ARM.

@Eeyoreboi type in to google: windows 8 developer preview, and download the 32 bit version. Its 2.6GB and needs to be burned to DVD unless your installing it to *cough* a jailbroken 360,wii,ipad*cough* which i ran it on 360 with no issues.

@toxitrix You realize this is pre-beta build, right? Also, the scrolling lags in this demo for a few reasons: 1.) This is running in a virtual machine over Wi-FI. Check the video at places where he has to use the netbook to right click. There is about a half-second delay between the computer and the TouchPad. 2.) This build is running off a 1st gen Atom netbook.

I have windows 8 installed on my tablet PC (fujitsu t900) and it runs really smooth. Multi touch scrolling it is a good, I would not take this video as a demo for the os. It is a demo of the OS running on a shitty Netbook being controlled by a failed tablet.

@tacos0816 Maybe it's a little late and you already formatted your hard drive, but even if you can use your recovery media to get Win7 back, I'd recommend to just resize your Windows 7 partition using a tool such as Partition Magic or whatever (you can even use a Linux bootable live CD which includes GPartEd, which is a partitioning utility). After resizing your Win7 partition, you can install Windows 8 in the remaining space. That way you can have both 7 and 8, thus not losing Win7.

I wanted to see Windows 8 on an Android tablet, but it's true that Windows isn't compatible with the ARM processors found in Android tablets. However, you were also right, I did know that Tablets were used to showcase Windows 8 during Microsoft Keynote in september, so it isn't unheard of, but Windows tablets are usually more expensive and fatter than Android tablets. Guess it'll need the power of Intel.
