Wales must take inspiration from the Manic Street Preachers. They lost their inspiational, genius talisman too....but went on to great success. The soccer team must do the same. all love to Speedos family xxx
if you are English/Irish?scottish whatever please come to the Wales v Costa Rica game. Not about Wales, but about showing your love for Speedo and what he meant to you. will be a tribute evening as opposed to just a match. Tickets only £10. we need a sell out. thank you xxx
I know many people who have respect for soilders who are killed in battle but we don't hear about them so much because they aren't public figures and maybe their family doesn't want the whole world to hear about their grief
Not saying Mrs Speed and her family are trying to get into the limelight either.
A well respected sports person has died in tragic circumstances which is the thing that matters (sadly)
Important for people to remember about other mental illnesses such as OCD and Anxiety. People often have being saying ''Gary showed no signs of depression''. Truth is guys, he may not have being depressed. He may have suffered from intrusive/obsessive thoughts - directly linked with ocd and generalised anxiety - which unfortunately got the better off him. I am not saying this is definitely the truth, we will perhaps never know the truth.... but depression is not the only mental illness.
R.I.P Gary you are a legend and everyone in Leeds can't find the words to describe this great loss. All those saying about soldiers, this isnt the time or the place as everyone is focused on what a great player and even more what a great guy Gary was.
Why are people comparing this to soldiers dying? It is a different situation all together. A guy took his own life and know one really knows why. He had it all, family, career and showed no real signs of depression. It is a wake up call to mental illness as it shows no physical signs. His poor family.
@CoolBeansConnor to name a few: the cenotaph, the march through wooten bassett, and remembrance day. there are also war memorials all over the UK in tribute to soldiers.
@wilko2603 you have no compassion whatsoever. Maybe one day you, or someone close to you might be in such a dark place, you will know how it feels to have suicidal thoughts.
@wilko2603 Scum you are, he was a hero to so many how can you not respect that!? Do you know why he did it???? NO don't judge someone who was obviously a much better person than you could be. Don't like him. DON'T COMMENT!
@wilko2603 Uncool, So little words to say to you... you scumbag... Easy to sit behind your computer screen insulting people who cant defend themselves. No-one will ever known why he took his own life... but to come out with that.... UTTER CRAP is a disgrace and you should be ashamed.
@0baggers0 ok all this for one person who took a easy route out and left his family to deal with it. Where is the tribute for the people fighting over sea?
