The thing that people don't seem to realize is that Marriage isn't "owned" or "exclusively" accorded to one religious faith, like Christians seem to like to believe. Marriage goes back before recorded history, which would mean it would predate the Bible, and since everyone in the world wasn't Christian, then it can't "belong" to Christianity alone, or any religion or culture. This issue should never be put on a ballot. You can't "vote away" the constitution by an ignorant "majority".

I'm not too sure if this attack on Mormons really works, and/or if this is just a poor attempt at humor. However in this story the Mormon's response to this woman is pretty close to how Christians should respond to that kind of a tirade.
I think gay people should be deserving of respect and have the same rights as heterosexual people. Gay or hetero, as long as we're not harming one another and we are living happily in our individual lives, then that's all that really matters. It's no one else's business if a person chooses to share their life with someone of their own, or an opposing gender.

I think gay people should be deserving of respect and have the same rights as heterosexual people. Gay or hetero, as long as we're not harming one another and we are living happily in our individual lives, then that's all that really matters. It's no one else's business if a person chooses to share their life with someone of their own, or an opposing gender.

However, you bring up an interesting point about homosexuality and sex where marriage is involved. I learned the gay community of Utah is joining with members of the Mormon church in a united effort to get both gay and polygamous marriage legalized, even though the two groups don't agree with one another. What's the purpose of this video? To inform, to persuade, to entertain? No tangible information was presented. The baised nature ruins any hope for its being persuasive. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints did not give money to support Proposition 8. They spent about $2000 for transportation of church leaders to various meetings to discuss it. The $20 Million that was donated by Mormons was soley by private donations alone.
So, a church that councils respect towards homosexuals but discourages the practice of it is getting treated worse by the gays who are protesting their bad treatment and deprivation of rights.... It all makes sense.

The LDS cult also ran phone banks in Utah and then stopped when they realized Californians didn't want to hear from insane Mormons in Utah. The crazy cult paid for ads at the urging of cult leader Monson that lied to California voters. Even a law professor at BYU says the LDS should be ashamed of themselves. The Mormons: "redefining" marriage for 150 years.

i'm not a mormon, but think about it: mormons aren't doing anything against gay marriage. sure, they don't support it because it goes against what they believe - but they aren't publicly supporting prop 8 by donating tons of money. if anything, only a few individual families are donating money to support it.
so stfu. they have their beliefs and you have yours. you may disagree, but if they aren't doing anything to harm your personal life then shut the fuck up. fucking hypocrites.

Actually they are, all commercials yes on prop 8 say at the end "sponsored by NOM", and they publicly said they have received donations from LDS(its even on their website), so YES THEY SUPPORT IT WITH MONEY, so please you STFU, and educate yourself before throwing out your opinion
