If doom is released on Wii, they should make a Wii gun remote, like a guitar for Guitar Hero. If it is released on Wii, then keep the Wii gun remote in mind, and also you could use the wii fit plus balance board for walking and running, if you're active that is, if not then might have a scroll button or joystick button on the gun remote. My ideas, these things may never happen, if they do, I'm a physic genius, but I never thought of these.

Technically Doom is not a 3D game. The levels are 2D and consist of vertexes (verticies) and lines (linedefs) which form sectors. Sectors can have different floor/ceiling heights/textures, and different levels of ambient light. Each linedef also has it's own texture. The game takes all the level data and renders it in "pseudo 3D." Because the game is not actually rendered in 3D there are limitations; you can't free look, levels have no slopes, and no rooms over other rooms.

The author then joined navigatr (as it's actually an association), the series was retitled and uploaded on YT. The rest is history...not that the show -wasn't- already bad in its time. :v

I didn't play the SNES version, but there's no doubt that Nintendo got rid of some of the religious themes. In the manual, I wouldn't be surprised if the word "demon" was replaced with "alien."

@10truefreak01 Nintendo stopped censoring and modifying games after the ESRB was created. Since the the game is rated "M" by the ESRB, you can tell that the SNES version of the game was ported after it's creation, and therefore, Nintendo wouldn't have done that. I could be wrong, but I think that's pretty spot on.

@alchomy666 There's no point as it won't happen (a remake), best you could hope for is a port of the original PC games, cause the Wii sure won't be able to run Doom3. Get an original Xbox for that it's bloody awesome. TBH tho, Doom is not a game that would come out on Wii because the Wii is aimed at a different market than the other consoles.

After RAGE, id will focus on Doom4 & that will get a release on the PC and most powerful consoles. Doom 4 won't be out for atleast 3 years tho.

@stardust2803 I couldnt agree more!!!. Use the graphics engine of Doom 64, but enhance it. Maybe use better character sprites, more blood and guts, better lighting effects and scarier music. Also have it so the monsters actually creep up on you, or jump out at you when you dont expect it, to make it more frightening and add to the experience. Have all the levels from all the doom games to make it one hell of a game, and maybe chuck in a couple of extra weapons to make it more interesting.  :-)

I can't tell directly, but there are two things - first, this is doom, an advanced (for its time) '2.5d' game and its running on the mere super nintendo, which had very limited 3d performance (check out star fox). so yea, it's impressive for the snes despite some shortcommings

secondly, doom obviously doesn't look great anymore. even the pc version looks like a bunch of oversized pixels today

but doom is doom and a classic shooter that popularized the fps genre in the first place
