  • Roger McQuinn: you should hire the person who did the harmonies and myself to produce your next studio album, fans know what fans want, i'll bring in Phil Lesh on bass.

  • Ignore the idiots, you did great. I agree with you about the typical 3 part harmonies the Byrds were previously so famous for. With NO offense meant, I've ALWAYS hoped to hear this with David Crosby

  • All Songs Sound Better when you add Some PUSSY to IT !

  • @TheFishMiester you can say that twice and mean it !

  • Nice Touch Kurt !

  • That's cool. I had the original album with the harmony it was really beautiful. You did it good. As all things do it passed to a new keeper.

  • Maybe people had a lousy stereo back then, but I remember these always being there, but I had the equipment to pull it out ! AT cartridge & Kenwood 9600 !

  • I don't know what's going on, but the harmony is the original studio recording !

  • I don't think anything was added, it sounded this good off of the original album !

  • A really neat idea and well done. I never really thought of this song having harmonies, but it's neat to hear it that way. I like it! Great video. =)

  • Sounds great to me !

    I've been a Byrds fan since '65.

  • nicely done. why should anyone care if you added something? it's in the title..

  • It is a fine line between enhancing the beauty of and gilding the lily! Call me stodgy in my criticism, but you must understand the original version of this classic on "Untitled" may well be my all time fave Byrd tune, but be rest assured. with the wealth of choices available from Mc Guinn and a cast of others, it certainly is not an easy call! Nice try, but I must pass! Thanks You Tube!

  • Love is the answer.

  • Your inhancement to the song really made it sound so elegant!!!!

  • thank you so much kittywoman. there has been some controversy about my added harmonies. but you have really made my day and i appreciate it. where are you from, have you always been a byrds or dylan or csny fan?

  • thank you auntmaggie. chestnut mares are my favorite horses, and tabbys are my favorite cats !

  • Nice work. I wrote a whole new song called Chestnut mare and recorded it kind of byrds style. You can see it on you tube - type in Chestnut mare Steve Low

    cheers

  • You're having fun!

  • Great, Love the photo of your own muse, your own "Chestnut mare".

  • thank you norm vb , i really appreciate the great feedback

  • Nicely done dude - a well done exploration of what might have been.

  • Just as if the Byrds had done it themselves!

    Fantastic song!

Great to hear it with harmonies.

  • many thanks rotateitbaby, you warm my heart

  • well done my friend you didn't spoil anything .

  • thank you trichoone. you have a great collection of videos and favorites!

  • yes, i like it. Cool mate.

  • Nice work there Dan.

Going to have to learn this one, Helen and yourself won't leave me alone about it so......

  • thank you pablo, it's one of my better efforts and it makes me want to explore more harmonies

  • No worries, keep at it.

  • wow, dude! how you pull that off? If I can figure out how to turn this into a mp3, I add it to my best of the byrds cd.

  • Daniel, sounds eerily close to McGuin's vocal...good job dude!

  • thanks dave, i know! i never expected it to sound like that. the only explanation i can think of is that we have a similar stress in our voices when it comes to the high notes. maybe it's just endemic to californians .

  • nice job!

  • sounds good dan- love this song!

  • thanks matt. what's new in the works? doctorcastille says he's considering an "all together now" collab.
