how much to race or watch the race. i live up north near niles michagan i was wondering how far of a drive it would be to check the track out for the weekend .
Both the Rustler and Slash can be great racers with the correct setup. The Rustlers main problem is a lack of toe in on the rear arms so it tends to spin out easily. A simple change to the nitro rear arms solves this problem. I use to race and beat Losi and assoc trucks with a basically stock rusty just a few years back so it can be done....
The Slash and the Rustler are BOTH Traxxas! Which one are you talking about grayson? The Slash is race proven and the Rustler is a good basher, but not so good on the track. Is that what you mean?
Actually, they're both race proven. lol. My first hobby grade rc was a Rustler about 10 years ago. The box for it had a little gold metal sticker on it that said something along the lines of, "3 time rc championship car" or something similar to that.
these things look like way more fun to race than a buggy or monster truck. the scaleness makes it much cooler and it also looks alot more technical. buggies are rediculous.
They are supposed to be! But, you never know for sure unless you demand inspections. We've not done that. They sare supposed to be "Box Stock" with no aftermarket.

Its a good basher, but they just aren't very good for racing I've been told. Wheelbase probably.
