Und bevor ich es vergesse, wärend die Ammis es entlich mal auf die Reihe bekommen haben, eine eigene Kanone für den Abrams zu entwickeln, die auch nur wieder 120mm ist und dazu noch eine kurzrohrige L/45, hat Rheinmetall bereits eine 140mm L/48, samt Munition mit beeindruckender Durchschlagskraft, entwickelt, die mit dem Leopard 2 kompatiebel ist und spätestens beim Leopard 3 kommen wird :)
Nicht direkt ... man plant jetzt darauf, den Leopard 2 noch bis 2040-2050 Einsatzfähig zu halten, durch ständige Aufrüstung und dann erst den Leopard 3 ein zu führen. Wobei man sich die Option offen hält, das, falls die Russen ihren T-95 doch noch eingeführt bekommen und dieser wirklich mit einer 152mm Kanone ausgestattet ist, entweder den Leo2 mit der 140mm aus zu rüsten oder gleich den Leo3 ein zu führen, bei dem die 140mm ja Standert sein soll ...
Und wieder beweist er sein "Fachwissen" ... weil der Leo2 A7+ ja auch für diesen Verwendungszweck entwickelt wurde :D ... nur zu dumm, des es eine spezielle Version für den urbanen Kampf ist (auf was es ja bei moderner Kriegführung viel mehr ankommt)
Und was willst du mit dieser L/45 Kanone??? Nur weil sie die Mündungsgeschwindikeit minimal verbessert und etwas weniger Rückstoß produziert??? Wird nichts an der größten Krankheit des Abrams ändern, der "Mobilität" :)

Die XM360 basiert auf einem ganz anderen System, kann mit & ohne Autoloader benutzt werden, die Kanone selbst wiegt weniger, geringerer Rückstoß, größere Präzision & Durchschlagskraft. Das Fahrzeug selbst wird ebenfalls weniger wiegen, was zur Mobilität beiträgt. Dann eventuell noch einen MTU-Dieselmotor..
Nur zu dumm, das der Leo2 A7+ die L/44 hat, die auf die kurzen Distanzen im Häuserkampf mehr als ausreichend ist ... mal ganz abgesehen von solchen Spielerein wie einem Vollautomatischen Dachgeschütz, 360° Kamerasystem usw. ...
Und schonwieder brauchen die Amis deutsche Technik, weil sie wissen, das ihre Gasturbine der letzte Husten ist ;)
@couteau86: Damit die Duellfähigkeit gegenüber feindlicher Panzer erhalten bleibt, wäre eine L/55 nicht Schlecht. Wir haben das Problem nicht. Zudem hat unser M1 TUSK diese Spielereien schon seit einiger Zeit. Wir könnten allerdings auch die AGT-1500 durch die LV100-5 oder den GLDS AVDS-1790-9A V12 Diesel austauschen.

Das HK416 wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit der Delta Force entwickelt & schnitt in Tests schlechter als das belgische SCAR ab. Der CH-53 wurde trotzdem in den 60er Jahren in den USA entwickelt & die Bestände der Bundeswehr sind ebenso in den USA produziert worden. Wir haben Alternativen zur LV-100, und soweit ich weiß ist der Großteil made by Honeywell International.
Ach, so wie wie die 178 bestellten Einheiten Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm BK117/EC 645, die als UH-72A "Lakota" von den USA genutzt werden???
Und ja, Alternativen, wie die offiziele Ankündigung, das man evt. das "EuroPowerPack" von MTU, welches den MTU MT881 Ka-501 Motor und Renk HSWL 295TM Getriebe beinhaltet, für den Abrams nutzen möchte.

@couteau86: Dein Kommentar wäre mir nun peinlich. Die XM1111 ist fertiggestellt, und wird spätestens 2014 eingeführt, und dann ist auch das X verschwunden. Eine deutlich höhere Reichweite? Die effektive Reichweite liegt bei 3km, selbst die L/44 kann 10km weit schießen, nur treffen musst du können. Und das geht mit dem M1A2 SEP besser, dank weit entwickelter Optik, dem Feuerleitsytem & Laser-Entfernungsmesser. Der große Vorteil ist die größere Mündungsgeschwindigkeit, das war's.

Uran hat eine 10% größere Durchschlagskraft als Wolframcarbid/Tungsten, zudem ist der Penetrator der M829A3 um einiges länger, als der Penetrator der DM63. Zudem wurden auf die Turmfront keine Uranplatten angeschweißt, das stinknormale Chobham, dessen "Zutaten" recht Geheim sind, ist mit abgereichertem Uran verstärkt, welches sich im Turm befindet.

Der Laserentfernungsmesser des M1A2 SEP hat auf einer Entfernung von 9995 Metern eine Abweichung von unter 5 Metern, entwickelt von Carl Zeiss Optronics & Raytheon Systems. Das TIS hat einen 50fachen Zoom, und 4 andere einstellbare Werte + 4th Generation FLIR, welches dem WBG des Leoparden klar überlegen ist. Zu letzterem: Meine Familie besteht aus "Tankern" mein Vater zB hat auf dem M48 gedient. Sagt dir Daley Barracks etwas?

@TankNutJohn89 well... mi-28 costs about 45 million$ as i know and apache 100. ok apache has deeper FLIR capabilities and laser guided missile blinding system. but russians always stand ahead in mobile radar technologies both in attacking and defensive. by mobility both have good resolts, but apache is bit more flexible. yea mountains need a very moveing warmachine but i personally dont see a serious reason why would mi 28 loose the fight. both are good machines.

They test the Leopard 2 A6, Leopard 2 A4, M1A2, Challenger 2 and T-90S. The Leopard 2 A6 won this compare. @Talshet: Bullshit, Hollywood bringt aber viel Geld in die Kassen. Es gibt keinen besten Panzer der Welt, aber das scheinen manche Leute nie zu verstehen. Der M1A2 SEP ist sicher einer der kampfstärksten, selbst Forecast International sieht ihn auf Platz 1 & den Leopard 2A6 nur auf Nummer 4. Der T-90MS ist ein Witz. Der Mi-24 ist nicht schlecht aber sicherlich nicht der beste. Mi-28 ist unterlegen & der KA-50 ist nicht in Massenproduktion, also kannst du ihn garnicht vergleichen.
@Talshet: Der Leopard 2 verschießt DM63, welche den US M829A3 unterlegen sind, ebenfalls kommt die LAHAT & die KSTAM nicht an MRM-KE ran, rein von der Reichweite gesehen. Feuerleitsystem & Laserentfernungsmesser sind beim M1A2 ebenfalls besser. Der M1A2 ist billiger & kann in Massen produziert werden. Die kleine Turmpanzerung des T-90 kommt nicht an den schweren mit Uran gefüllten Abrams-Turm heran. Und technisch ist die F-22 dem Eurofighter klar überlegen, und der SU-35 ebenfalls.

@TankNutJohn89 Du solltest mal nicht Amy Ärsche lecken und mal wirklich betrachten was Phase ist.Es wurden alleine 23 AH64D im Iraq Krieg abgeschoßen und damals hatten die Apaches Gegenmaßnahmen im vergleich zur Mi24 in Afghanistan Krieg wurden weniger Hinds durch Projektil und RPG beschuß runter geholt als beim Apache. Mit nur 72 zer. Hinds in 10 Jahren 7.2 Hinds pro Jahr und 23AH64 die von Anfang an Gegenmaßnahmen hatten wurden 3.8 pro Jahr geholt in fast halb so langem Krieg.
@Talshet: Du solltest mal aufhören Russen-Ärsche zu lecken, im Irakkrieg gingen 4 AH-64D verloren, 2 davon wurden abgeschossen. Gegenmaßnahmen bringen einen Scheiß gegen Flak-Feuer & ungelenkte Raketen. Der Irakkrieg fand später statt, die Technik ist weiter vorangeschritten. Vor 50 Jahren wäre sicher kein einziger AH-64 abgeschossen worden. Es ist scheißegal wieviele Hubschrauber abgeschossen worden sind, das sagt nichts über die Fähigkeiten des Hubschraubers aus.
@TankNutJohn89 23AH64 in 6 Jahren 3.8 pro Jahr trotz gegenmaßnahmen wären das bei Gleichen Einsatzjähren fast 8 AH64 pro Jahr, wobei 72 Hinds in 10 Jahren und in den Anfangszeit ohne Gegenmaßnahmen operiert hat auf eine niedrigere Lost Quote kommt als der Apache.Da die tatsache da ist das Mi24 8 per.laden kann,schneller ist,mehr Waffen laden/größeres Spectrum der Kriegsdoctrine verfolgen kann, und was das wichtigste ist weit besser gepanzert ist und dur PN version neu ist, besser.

@AccessDenied55 India (a frequent customer of Russian arms) is looking for a new attack helicopter. Right now it looks like India is more impressed with the Apache over its competitor, the Mi-28 and this is likely due to some of the reasons you describe.

The Apache has seen action in Iraq(1991 Gulf War),Afghanistan(2001-Present),Iraq(2003 2nd Gulf War),and Libya(2011 NATO intervention). Name a conflict that the Mi-28 has been in, NONE (So Far)
Less than 100 Mi-28's have been built so far...
The only Russian Helicopters I have respect for are Mi-8's and Mi-24's

@AccessDenied55 Considering Mi-28 is a modified Mi-24 to fit the anti-tank and combat role better, the differences of the two are not that great except that the Mi-28 is way more modernized. Even though it hasnt proven itself in combat yet that doesnt mean you can judge it, talk to a helicopter gunship expert about it and see what he thinks but then again your opinion is your right.

@boudiSVK: How many have been build yet? In 2000 there were 1048 AH-64's. Both are the best Helicopters, none comes close. Not even KA-50 or Eurocopter Tiger.
About 50 are in service in russia and i dont know about venezuela . Right now they are in full production cuz russia should have all 220 by 2015 . Plus they ordered 120 Ka-52 in a role of Reconnaissance helicopter and another 40 brand new mi-35s .
So, far I've researched and proven at least 3 aircraft the Russians copied from the United States... I find it interesting that the Mi-28 Havoc has the same design scissor tail rotor system just like the Apache. The AH-64 is the only other helicopter with the scissor tail rotor system, but yet people try to convince me the Mi-28 did not copy from the Apache at all. In my humble opinion they did. Nicht direkt ... man plant jetzt darauf, den Leopard 2 noch bis 2040-2050 Einsatzfähig zu halten, durch ständige Aufrüstung und dann erst den Leopard 3 ein zu führen. @couteau86: Nur zu dumm, dass die L/55 nicht für den Häuserkampf geeignet ist, und die L/44 auf weite Strecken zu wenig Durchschlagskraft gegen moderne Panzer hat. Die XM360 basiert auf einem ganz anderen System, kann mit & ohne Autoloader benutzt werden, die Kanone selbst wiegt weniger, geringerer Rückstoß, größere Präzision & Durchschlagskraft. Das Fahrzeug selbst wird ebenfalls weniger wiegen, was zur Mobilität beiträgt. Dann eventuell noch einen MTU-Dieselmotor..

@couteau86: Damit die Duellfähigkeit gegenüber feindlicher Panzer erhalten bleibt, wäre eine L/55 nicht Schlecht. Wir haben das Problem nicht. Zudem hat unser M1 TUSK diese Spielereien schon seit einiger Zeit. Wir könnten allerdings auch die AGT-1500 durch die LV100-5 oder den GLDS AVDS-1790-9A V12 Diesel austauschen.

Das HK416 wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit der Delta Force entwickelt & schnitt in Tests schlechter als das belgische SCAR ab. Der CH-53 wurde trotzdem in den 60er Jahren in den USA entwickelt & die Bestände der Bundeswehr sind ebenso in den USA produziert worden. Wir haben Alternativen zur LV-100, und soweit ich weiß ist der Großteil made by Honeywell International.

Die effektive Reichweite liegt bei 3km, selbst die L/44 kann 10km weit schießen, nur treffen musst du können. Und das geht mit dem M1A2 SEP besser, dank weit entwickelter Optik, dem Feuerleitsytem & Laser-Entfernungsmesser. Der große Vorteil ist die größere Mündungsgeschwindigkeit, das war's.

Uran hat eine 10% größere Durchschlagskraft als Wolframcarbid/Tungsten, zudem ist der Penetrator der M829A3 um einiges länger, als der Penetrator der DM63. Zudem wurden auf die Turmfront keine Uranplatten angeschweißt, das stinknormale Chobham, dessen "Zutaten" recht Geheim sind, ist mit abgereichertem Uran verstärkt, welches sich im Turm befindet.

Der Laserentfernungsmesser des M1A2 SEP hat auf einer Entfernung von 9995 Metern eine Abweichung von unter 5 Metern, entwickelt von Carl Zeiss Optronics & Raytheon Systems. Das TIS hat einen 50fachen Zoom, und 4 andere einstellbare Werte + 4th Generation FLIR, welches dem WBG des Leoparden klar überlegen ist. Zu letzterem: Meine Familie besteht aus "Tankern" mein Vater zB hat auf dem M48 gedient. Sagt dir Daley Barracks etwas?

@TankNutJohn89 well... mi-28 costs about 45 million$ as i know and apache 100. ok apache has deeper FLIR capabilities and laser guided missile blinding system. but russians always stand ahead in mobile radar technologies both in attacking and defensive. by mobility both have good resolts, but apache is bit more flexible. yea mountains need a very moveing warmachine but i personally dont see a serious reason why would mi 28 loose the fight. both are good machines.

@Talshet: Bullshit, Hollywood bringt aber viel Geld in die Kassen. Es gibt keinen besten Panzer der Welt, aber das scheinen manche Leute nie zu verstehen. Der M1A2 SEP ist sicher einer der kampfstärksten, selbst Forecast International sieht ihn auf Platz 1 & den Leopard 2A6 nur auf Nummer 4. Der T-90MS ist ein Witz. Der Mi-24 ist nicht schlecht aber sicherlich nicht der beste. Mi-28 ist unterlegen & der KA-50 ist nicht in Massenproduktion, also kannst du ihn garnicht vergleichen.

Mit nur 72 zer. Hinds in 10 Jahren 7.2 Hinds pro Jahr und 23AH64 die von Anfang an Gegenmaßnahmen hatten wurden 3.8 pro Jahr geholt in fast halb so langem Krieg.

Vor 50 Jahren wäre sicher kein einziger AH-64 abgeschossen worden. Es ist scheißegal wieviele Hubschrauber abgeschossen worden sind, das sagt nichts über die Fähigkeiten des Hubschraubers aus.

If russian equipment is crap you might want to sell all the soviet/russian stuff you have in your army, but you won't.. Becouse russian stuff works,, The differences are usually just marginal.

@TATARSTAN59500 Only a 28 Mi-28's were ever built, plus Mi-28's have not seen any Combat as of yet.
Apaches have seen 2 decades of combat from the 1991 Gulf War up to the Invasion of Iraq, even the Libya War.
Until I see Mi-28 in Combat, I'll stand by the Apache
If I had to pick my favorite Russian Helicopter it would be the Mi-24 Hind

@AccessDenied55 India (a frequent customer of Russian arms) is looking for a new attack helicopter. Right now it looks like India is more impressed with the Apache over its competitor, the Mi-28 and this is likely due to some of the reasons you describe.

The Apache has seen action in Iraq(1991 Gulf War),Afghanistan(2001-Present),Iraq(2003 2nd Gulf War),and Libya(2011 NATO intervention). Name a conflict that the Mi-28 has been in, NONE (So Far)
Less than 100 Mi-28's have been built so far...
The only Russian Helicopters I have respect for are Mi-8's and Mi-24's
They have shown theyre capability, and have been in service for 20+ years

@AccessDenied55 Considering Mi-28 is a modified Mi-24 to fit the anti-tank and combat role better, the differences of the two are not that great except that the Mi-28 is way more modernized. Even though it hasnt proven itself in combat yet that doesnt mean you can judge it, talk to a helicopter gunship expert about it and see what he thinks but then again your opinion is your right.

yes you are right it was shoted down with aa gun but you can hut mi 28 with aa gun too. I am talking abouth apache's electronic and weapon systems are more affective then mi 28's and it's proved.RAH 66 comanche is the best but its program was canceld. mi 28 can caryy lots of missiles and rockets. at or sa missles can not stop modern armor at "one shot" but vıkhr may can be do. hellfire 2 can stop any modern armor is made up ceramic or composit. time is very important in the modern battle field

@tlgglr Hellfire could take down Abrams aswell. Apaches have been shot down in Iraq with 12.7mm COAX and 23mm AA-guns, so its not invulnerable.

So, far I've researched and proven at least 3 aircraft the Russians copied from the United States... I find it interesting that the Mi-28 Havoc has the same design scissor tail rotor system just like the Apache. The AH-64 is the only other helicopter with the scissor tail rotor system, but yet people try to convince me the Mi-28 did not copy from the Apache at all. In my humble opinion they did. At least the concept of a dedicted gunship and scissor tail rotor system!
