"Conservative" calls for "privatization" are arising in states with newly-elected Republican governors. In the few situations where it replaces costly & highly-inefficient services with economic & highly-efficient services, it's GREAT! In the many situations where it replaces mediocre government services with mediocre private services, overseen by government, it becomes more inefficient, and transfers tax dollars into corporate coffers.
The public relations-originated argument that executive and legislative program positions should be filled by those with the "most private experience" directly translates to plutocracy.
