  • No offense the the poster of this vid, but I would like to point out some incorrect things with this. Only in the Beginning. First, The Seals and Recon are not "the true Special Forces" in fact they are not Special Forces at all, the only True Special Forces in the US Military are the Army Green Beret. Recon, Rangers, Seals ect are classified as Special Operation units, they carrie out more Direct missions then Special Forces. Also the Army Spec Ops do their part, do not take that away from them

  • I always had a dream of becoming a Navy Seal and never tried out i regret now im 26 yrs old do you think im to old to enlist now ?

  • @AmericanNinja85 they'll take anyone up to 29 but just the selection itself is difficult. assuming you make it to training the first time but fail due to injury or quitting, normally you'd be able to try again but with your age situation, you may become too old to try a 2nd time for BUD/s. IT'S WORTH A SHOT IF YOU WANT IT!!

  • btw army rangers would be a hell of an option too, they are the worlds #1 light infantry unit!

  • @TEXASHUSTLERS Army rangers are not true special forces. if they all had to pass ranger school they would. but thats not the case is it. force recon and seals all the way

  • either one i go to seals, better fuckin be ready for buds, either that or recon school is hell too, they are both hard as fuck to get into but it'd be worth it if u got there!

  • im planing to try to get into RECON first then after 5 to 4 years transfer to navy then go for bud/s remember like @Leatherneck84 said this not shit that is like easy to get into anyone can say im going to be a seal then try out at bud/s then quit cause the fact the fact that they found out thats not for them just like recon marines this is not like football practice or watever you guys do this is your job to try to be the best of the best.

  • I plan on going to SWCC first. Then hopefully after a while try out for BUD/S and go from there.

  • @theUDTfrogman Cool, me i just wanna be force recon.

  • 1 person thought that by saying nay seals it ment cute seals swiming around in the ocean

  • Seals and Marsoc... the tip of the spear for special operations, im hoping to hit recon training in a 2 years as long as i stay outta trouble, semper fi!

  • Not to piss you off or anything but some of these clips are SWCC not SEAL.

  • Awsome video bro keep it up. Oorah.

  • seal my one and final answer

  • I've just enlisted into the USMC. I ship out to bootcamp on June 20, 2011. (Father's Day)

I think I should become a Navy Seal. What are your guys opinion?

  • @wilsonshatred SEAL!

  • @wilsonshatred Seals are of Sailers not Marines unless you reenlist and change branch

  • SAS are the best period. Spetsnaz 2nd. everyone else pales in comparsion.

  • I think force recon is marine special forces and recon is like scouts in army correct me if I'm wrong

  • force recon is marine special forces...but a scout in the ARMY is not like a force recon marine...more like a ranger...scouts really are not a spec ops force

  • @H1tmanOv3rk1 I thought thier is a regular recon unit and force recon which is special forces thats what I was saying

  • @williemetoyer23 i dont think there is a regular recon unit just force recon.Because most recon missions are under spec ops command or has to do with special operations.

  • @williemetoyer23 you're wrong

  • @williemetoyer23 you're wrong

  • Have you ever heard about the US Ranger and Green Beret combat diver school? I think there more elite than recon and seals take a look at them.

  • Damn, IN 67-68 I don't remember training looking so hollywood, it was hot dirty freezing cold freaking water sweat BLOOOOOD no tears, oh yeah before the face lift the seals were called Navy UDT. anyway Recon , Seals, two diff. job Discriptions one more time than not makes contact , they get the hollywood hype,no doubt they do deserve it . Both are the best warriorsin the world ! If you like the attention and glory go Seals ,is you are one that just aspire to do the deed and move on ( 0321 )

  • So why are you saying it's not like the Army when the Army has Special Operations Units just like any other branch? People need to stop talking about the Army like if it's a joke, every single branch in our military is there for a reason. By the looks of your channel it seems like you're just a kid that plays way too many video games.

  • Well put, my friend

  • I am going to collage and bang chicks. This military stuff is for tards.

  • @rocketfist1 Some life you have. Most women would go for someone who has respect and honor not some to timing un patriotic self entitled spoiled prick like you. Your a jackass

  • @rocketfist1 fuck you!

  • Comment removed

  • @rocketfist1 your a bitch

  • The first step to joining either service is getting through boot, and than getting through combat school... You really cant decide if your ready for a thing like this from your home sitting on a couch. and your right Leatherneck84, its not just some list you put your name on. Semper Fi...

  • poor quality but bad ass

  • Semper Fidelis!!!!

  • WOW. You people need to stop your candy ass chatter...a spook should never be heard or fucking heard

  • bravo man im only 14 but when i get older i wanna join Recon thanks this video showed me some of the amazing things i could do in Recon

  • Are yall even enlisted to either branch???? I hope yall are some high school kids or some shit think SEAL and Recon is just some fuckin list you put your name down on and get into....saying i cant decide like as if your ass will really make it. Pass boot then SOI then decide.

  • @Leatherneck84

Lol, i totally agree with you.

  • @Leatherneck84

    Well said!!!

  • @Leatherneck84 Finaly someone says it! I hate when people under estimate the requirements like there some kind of game. Now me I am enlisting I have no choice and been training very hard for over a year now and am currently working on my 6min miles for 3 miles so I hopefully get a 300 PT score. Anyway even if I get 300PT score its just the beginning.

  • @VBH8888 I've been through Recon Indoc, and if the guys who pass are the guys that can get perfect on the PFT no problem. I run the 3 miles in a bit over 16 minutes no problem, I could do the 20 pullups since I was a freshman in high school, and knock down the 500 swim in under 10:00.

  • @SSgt24thMEU I can do my 3 miles in 16:52 and I am currently a Freshman in high school good or bad?

  • @TheSteelerFanXLV / Most of the men who run 16.52 have no strength in their upper bodies. Dead hang pullup all the way down with elbow locked down and all the way up with no kipping. What do you have? Can you do 20? Can you do a 100 situps in 2 minutes? Can you swim a mile in the Ocean? How smart are you? Can you read a map, orient it in the dark? Can you let your instructor rip off your regulator in the Ocean and thrash Lemon Sharks in your face. It's a lot more challenging than u think.

  • @TheTex2009 Yes, I have very good upper body strength I can do 55 sit-ups in one minute I can land navigate I can do 20 pull-ups and 75 push-ups in 2 minutes, I know it's challenging I'm not that stupid.

  • @Leatherneck84 fuckin right, i hate it when people do that. they skip basic then talk about what special forces teams they want to be in.

  • @Leatherneck84 damn straight

  • @Leatherneck84 Yeah agreed. I dont know what kind of training you have to do in order to be in Force Recon, but I know about 98% of the people who viewed this video would not make it through BUD's. That shit is intense.

  • @Leatherneck84 exactly ,they making it sound so easy hahahaha

  • @Leatherneck84 How do you become Force Recon.. Im going to join the Marine Corps after High School and was just wondering if you had to qualify or something.. Do you have to be 0311 to become Force Recon or can you be a POG?

  • @MrChestypuller1775 You can be any combat MOS, but you need a perfect PFT and a certain ASVAB score.

  • @SSgt24thMEU Gotcha.. so all combat MOS is 03 right?

  • @MrChestypuller1775 stay semper fi and give the corps all you got you do that and you will be part of the most elite group of warriors

  • @USMCMARINECORPS45 Im really looking foward to you know, being Recon and stuff but i dont want to goto the Ceremony oO

  • @Leatherneck84 People can dream cant they? Who knows, maybe someone whos already decided on it will become one sometime in the future. My dream is to become a Force Recon Marine, nd im gonna do everything i can to achieve that dream...

  • marine force recon in the same thing as the marsoc marines

  • Yall have to remember that Force Recon and Navy Seals sometimes train together. The only major difference i see is that, you can smell the combat training oozing out of his sweat long before a Marine grunt joines Force Recon, where the closest a Navy Sailor (prior to Seals) has ever gotten to combat training is the smell of pine trees and a camp fire from when he went camping with the family.

  • these are the awesomest guys in the world. i dont care whose better they could all kick my butt and one day i hope to be one of them. they got my respect

  • i wanted to be a marine since ten years old then i thought to be a seal but i found out that it is nearly impossible to be one bc its so hardcore well force recon is too and they would be the deadliest american warriors but seals have 2 yrs of training pain in the ass i have ADHD and im not sure if they take me but i do know that force recon will im just going to stick with recon bc i'll be the very first marine in my family heritage my family's main branch of choice was mostly army & navy seals

  • @DCfreak87 I believe the media had decieved you. Compare USMC Force Recon to Navy Seals and you will realized Force Recon is just as tough I say tougher to get into. The main difference is the USMC doesn't spend hundred of thousands of dollars to market their spec ops forces.

  • I was a Force Recon operator. But I did things for the Government, [no comment] that let's just say, pretty much make us the SPEC OPS unit that holds this country together, [no comment].

  • @MegaGhostWarrior hence "pretty" much

  • BADASS BADASS BADASS! Nuff said!

  • yea Marine2700 im currently in MART because i am contract recon. i passed the indoc and because there were no schools available for me immediately out of S.O.I so pretty much all i do is wake up and get thrashed. it really sucks but i understand it will better me for BRC

  • My cusing just to be a SEAL but now his in the DELTA he told me that the SEALs are better because they are only one team and also the move faster then the DELTA

to me SEALs are the best because they do SEE AIR and LAND most of those forces can't do that they will tell you they do that but dont belive that im joing in the NAVY to

    become a U.S NAVY SEAL.....GOOOOOOOO MICHAEL MURPHY R.I.P.

  • @panatico10 Dude, you must be making that shit up! DELTA Teams are a group of the best men from different Special Forces. Navy SEALs, Force Recons, Green Berets, Air Force Pararescue. Don't ever make shit up!

  • @panatico10 its not that. anyone who can keepup can do land air see. the main reason for me is. SEALS are small group. wich means harder to spot, find etc. faster moving quiterand such.

  • @panatico10 cool story bro ...

  • Definitely stuck between SEALs and Recon. Leanin' towards Recon but I've been going back and forth for months now.

  • @not0a0ninja0either dont look at the cool shit they do. look at the things you hate to do and compare the 2 jobs. Id pick wich ever job has more of what you like to do and not what you dont like. that way youll be happier to make your pick.

  • I'm shipping out in 2 weeks to Bootcamp and I have a first class PFT and I scored a 106 on my GT part of the ASVAB and I got the Recon job on my contract so as long as I can shoot and swim well enough in Bootcamp I'll have a spot in BRC. That's the way my recruiter put it to me anyway. If I don't get it now though, I'll just train for a couple year after I'm in and try out for it later. My dream is to be Force Recon.

  • to any one that wants to go Recon all you need to do is ask for it with your MR and dont give in to any of the bull S!@t that he tells you that its full. As of last year I knew they were giving $10,000 to $15,000 to sign up and complete Boot Camp, SOI, MART, and BRC. To all who know abouts RIP its called MART(Marine Awaiting Reconnaissance Training) now and thats where you go before you get picked up for a BRC TAC.

  • @MARINE2700 My contract has a $7,000 bonus if I complete all that.

  • @Jarhead2010AJS u could have gotten more if you pushed it some more. but 7 is ok

  • @MARINE2700 Well the money didn't really matter to me. As long as I'm getting a shot at Recon. I'm not in it at all for the money, though it is nice haha.

  • who gives a shit who's the better of the 2...i was attached to 3rd recon several years ago and met SAS, Seals, GB's and Air force Paratroopers. we all respect one another, we are elite in our own ways. i rarely express my opinions but in this case ignorance drove me to comment. i'm fucking proud to serve not only as a RECON Marine but as a Marine in general. I salute all my fellow combat veterans and for those who gave their lives. Semper Fi!!!!!!!!!

  • @mrpoopdaddy I don't think he would know would he?? Better off someone in another SF unit says so??

  • Wanted to be a SEAL for a while, but recently i have been leaning toward recon and havnt been able to decide which i should do... but this video helped me; im going to SEALs now.

  • @xcseal good for u man seals are kick ass i was like that for llooooonnng fucking time couldnt decide between the two but recon as where i think its at ive been talking to Forcon commanders week after week its soo awsome and marsoc operators MARSOC is some crazy shit

  • @MilSim411

Do you even know what MARSOC stands for?

  • @MilSim411 Hey if u have any questions i can help im not a marine myself but my bro is a Force Recon marine 2 purple hearts twice in iraq. and many different schools including sniper and jum school. so if you have any questions i can ask him and then answer them for you

  • @MilSim411 Cousin is a SEAL and his good friend is in marsoc, SEALs stuff is so cool the marsoc guy is going to try BUD/s because he wants to be a SEAL.

  • @MilSim411 im a marine and yes they both ar awesome but got recon trust me

  • @MilSim411 marsoc now has its own freefall regiment. SEALS do not. They are basically doing the same things. Unless your team six. But propoganda can do so much. MARSOC has a dark side which is version of six operators. Just like army has their own group.

  • @xcseal go for delta

  • @xcseal hey nice to see a fellow future seal on here, hoooyaaa! I was leaning toward recon also, but decided to go seal 2 months ago and got my contract, leave for basic sept.

  • @xcseal good luck man SEALs is the hardest.... its very very very very hard to get in and once you get in on average only 12% complete the training... oh ya and some people die in training so unless you want to join because the media shows you things abt it dont join bcuz that aint the real shit... one of the hardest things is they chain you on shore butt naked on a cold ass shore for 2 days with no food nor water

  • @backatchalol I don't remember the statistics, nor am I saying you're wrong, but chained to a cold shore for two days would cause extensive hypothermia and you most likely, actually more than likely would lose toes, fingers, and die. That's medically speaking. However, I could be wrong. That just seems a little made up to me. I know they do extensive work outs and hell week is the worst. I've looked into it. SEALs are insane, they if you make it, you've earned it.

  • @IndomitusLupus hardest special forces training 1. Navy Seals 2. rangers 3. marine corps froce recon 4. air force para rescue. And yes if you cant handle it then they will let u go but you can die of hypothermia thats why people die in training like ive said.

  • @backatchalol CCT def harder than rangers not only Physical but also Mental that they teach you and test you on.

  • @VBH8888 not according to the military

  • @backatchalol Recon training is harder than Rangers, so why would rangers be harder than Force Recon?

  • @xcseal You better be real sure you want to be a SEAL, or ForCon for that matter because those are two of the hardest things to get into, SOF is no pussy-footing around, it's hard core shit.

  • @xcseal thats exactlly how i am,idk wat to do haha

  • @xcseal just be ready expect the unexpected in buds dude. its hardcore shit.

  • @xcseal How you going seals? you cant just go seals dude i been trying to get on the seal team since i was 14, i finally got a letter from the navy saying i qualify, but now i need my state senators to right me a letter of recommendation. My recruiter said if i get excepted it would be 2 yrs into my military career when i go to buds. I went through pre buds 3 times which gave me a hand up but there is still no reserved spot. High hopes but ur 29 min age is 28 to sign up for buds.

  • @xcseal goodluck man, someday i want to be a SEAL

  • @xcseal Well you just cant say i wanna be a seal, i think you have to be in the navy before you can go specil ops.

  • Are Non CHristians allowed to join SEALs?? Jews and Muslims??

  • @bakerj02 you just have to be in the Navy and be able to pass the screening process.

  • @spookylsd right - so what about food and shit??? I can't eat pork or bacon

  • @bakerj02 then don't eat it

  • @spookylsd I dint think you could chose ? (what to eat?)

  • @bakerj02 you eat what you get. they're not going to treat you special or make any accommodations just for you. you're supposed to be meeting their standards, not the other way around. it all comes down to how much does it mean to you to earn the title and how bad do you want it. they only want people who want to be there and are willing to do what ever it takes...

  • @spookylsd lol...oh well...I can't even swim..lol

  • @bakerj02 yes one of my good friend used to be with the Navys Special Boat Teams and now his with a Recon Bn and his Muslim.

  • you a faggot ass fake joke to those who chouldnt get in mother fucker!

  • you a faggot ass fake joke to those who chouldnt get in mother fucker!

  • your a fucking joke!

  • yeah thats it your gt score. anyway get your asvab scores and thenask your recruiter. if they arnt good enough then tell your recruier u wana take em again. dontlet him say no, cuz there is no limit to how many times u can take it. as for study material if your in highschool check out your library, or ask your recruiter.

  • yup

  • and thats not your asvab score milsim thats your tech score or some bllshit. im in RIP and try fr the indoc in 3 days

  • so ur going through the process for becoming recon?

  • yes sorry i forgot to mention thats my GT score (general technical score) my overall score was a 71

  • Mine was 36 and I was trying to get into the Navy.

  • i want to be a recon marine so bad, but they dont have a guaranteed spot to try out like rangers or seals. i think this is correct, i may be wrong. does anyone know what mos to choose and what the process is? like Boot--->SOI--->??

  • well are are right if u dont get the ASVAB score for Recon. Right now im 0300 Infantry i wanted recon but my asvab score was a 104 and u need a 105 for recon. now if u get a 105 or higher yes u ARE GARANTEED to get into recon school. if u dont at SOI u can volunteer for it but if u really want it and u volunteer for it im sure ull be motivated enough to get it! but yes it goes Boot camp ---> SOI ----> then ur MOS school.

  • so u enlist with 0321 mos IF your asvab is 105+ then you are guaranteed a spot to tryout for recon? but if its 104 or lower than u enlist with 0300 then at soi u can volunteer for it? do u know of a way to study for the asvab or anything that can help?

  • yes if u have a GT of 105 or above u are garanteed a spot in all the recon schools. if it is below u must sign up for infantry and at SOI u can volunteer. and yes there is a book called "The Best Test Preparation for the ASVAB" it comes with 3 full length tests and a big fat book that will tell u everything u need to know

but once u go to MEPS and take it...you will be ready theres nothing to worry aobut its not as hard as it sounds ull do good!

  • thank you very very much for the help!

  • dude your wrong no one is garanteed anything i made a 96 on my asvab and all the recon spots were all given away so i have to wait to go to rip and volunteer at soi so nothing is for sure

  • no ur just not garanteed that spot as an enlisting MOS, if u have the score at SOI u can volunteer for it but ull be garanteed a spot at the schol for me i got a 104 ...1 point lower than what u need and if i volunteer for it at SOI i have to try out to get into the schools you will just go right in

  • @sickendofu you got a 96 on your overall ASVAB? holy fuck i got a 83 and a 115 GT

  • @sickendofu why dint you take asvab and then signup? and if score isnt high enough for SF or SOF than wait till test expires and retake.

  • yeah tell your recruiter you want 0321 mos spot. youll have to go through o311 training first (which sux) then RIP (recon indoctanation program) which consists of 4 hours pt and 4 hours swimming a day plus various knot practice. then to the basic recon course. good luck

  • GO RECON!!!! id love to be a recon marine some day!

  • yo bro if u want it nothing is stopping you....nothing stopped me im goin to Parris Island in August and i caan noot wait! then im off to be a recon marine

  • wht are the requirements to be one and do u get in

  • u need a 105 GT score minimum on your ASVAB, no waviers for anything, a class 1 on ur PFT (physical fitness test), and you must be a qualified marksman when u do rifletraining at bootcamp. But if you do not get that score on the asvab, at SOI (school of infantry) yes u must have an infantry job to do this, they will ask you if you want to volunteer for it. I got a 104 GT score so i was unable to get it in my contract so at SOI they are gonna ask me then when im done with SOI i go to basic recon

  • haha hope to see yall both there one day. man i want the trident soooo fucking bad. its insane. i kno ive got the heart of a lion tho. its in my name! De Leon. of the lion. yup yup lol

  • It's cool to see a vid showing SEALs and marine Force Recon instead of it going O SEALs r better no Force Recon is better. My dad's retired Navy SEAL that now does private security over in Iraq he works with two Former Force Recon guys and their great friends and you never hear them argueing who's better they respect each other equally. Milsim411 your going Recon Marine? Good luck man. I'm following my dad's footsteps n being a Navy SEAL.

  • oh fuck yeah hooyah!!!!!!!!!!! navy seals kill. im 100 % positive that the navy seals hold a place for me in their ranks. this kid in my grade(10th) is always saying how the navy seals suck marines balls. but thats not fucking true at ALL.

  • i prefer them both...i just signed my recon contract today im 17 and still in high schol i just got back from meps earlier today and signed my contract scored great on the asvab 96 GT score so i signed up for recon there was an opportunity and i took it and people asked me wats the difference...when it comes to training the marines are cuz they go to every special forces school in america but the REAL combat difference...there is none they both kick the most serious ass in the us milutary ORAH!!

  • Good luck man I have a SEAL contract and leave in February so hopefully i'll be in a summer BUD/S class. SEALs go to all the same schools too they just have developed their own schools such as advanced dive, jump school, airborne, and sniper(o name a few) SEALs got away from going to Army schools like it was when my dad was a SEAL. SEALs like to do everything on their own. But they still go to some schools with the rest of Spec Ops like Jungle Survival, and a bunch others. Good luck to you

  • exactly lol thats basicaly the only difference between them they both are recon teams and conduct black and green ops and good luck with that too man i wanted to be a seal waaay back but i just found better options in the marines ill see u on the battlefield

  • Well good luck man and stick with it you want to be a SEAL bad enough you will be. You can't compare SEALs to regular marines regular marines are not Spec Ops and r not elite. But Recon marine and marine Force Recon are spec Ops and are really good. Marine Force Recon are more up there with the SEALs. Both SEALs and Marine Spec ops are Elite and deserve much respect.

  • No offense, But as an 0311. I've been to jump and scout sniper school. Most infantry marines go throu some sort of elite school, we just dont get the title. Half my platoon went through sere school during bridgeport.

  • Please don't take offense I respect Marines to the fullist best Infantry we have and they go threw way more than Army Infantry. You boys have done amazing things for this country. I'm saying though SEALs(Like my dad) and Marine Force Recon are just another level hardest training our military has to offer. Alot of people can go to Sniper school like AirForce TACP and Navy EOD etc and other schools airborne n stuff. But its not like BUD/S. Like I said no offense I have friends in Marines infantry.

  • No offense takin, but I want you to know not ever infantry marine is just infantry! BTW Airforce can take scout sniper, But they do not train with us, only the navy does.. Second I never jumped with the army. And third sere school is as much as recon or seals so. BUDS is just underwater demolation kind fo thing. Are you enlisting?

  • Yea I have a SEAL contract I have leave in February. BUD/S is but it's also pretty much the selection process since only about 10% make it the last winter BUD/S class had 183 guys and only 5 made it to graduation couple more but they were injury roll backs from a prior class. My dad's class had 155 guys and he was 1 of 7 to make it. Plus SEALs go threw close to 2 and a half years of training before they even see action. SERE is somethin all Spec Ops have to do, my dad said its not bad

  • ya recon is like a year and a half to two years its insane shit i love the seals and recon! oorah!@

  • theres a difference btwn Recon and Force ReconFYI. Recon Battalions number in the few thousands and are not as highly trained as Force Recon who number in the hundreds and are in Companies. Not Battalions. Dont get them confused guys.

  • lol ik the difference, im gonna be a recon marine in a month u need to have 2 tours or more to qualify for force recon

  • Yeah I know I was trying to say, he was deployed twice but hey didn't go through any other training

  • Comment removed

  • They are pretty much trained the same, I knew a Recon guy that went right to Force from the Battalion not even doing anything

  • recon is moe like airborne/ranger style force recon is more like covert

  • @Kables95 I get them confused very often actually, thank you for clearing that up,would you mind explaining the difference in there jobs/missions? Thank you in advance.

  • i gave that song to u lol

  • yes and its one of the most kick ass songs i ever heard lol thanks adam! adam - your welcome adam

  • Very good work on compilation. Song fits well too. :)

  • Navy Seals are the Most Elite, In the World....

  • i think navy seeals and force recon are THE best they work perfect together, not like those stupid green berets that train people to do the work for them i totaly agree

  • Oorah boys
