I appreciate that reporter Maeve whoever actually asking McCain a question and following up, but women using phrases like "I think" and "I guess" when you actually *know* makes me tired.
Why should the government FORCE insurance companies to do anything? These are private companies. If the government butts in enough then no one will be able to afford insurance. The market should dictate what insurance companies cover, not a bunch of bureaucrats.
That's a valid argument, but it's not the point of the video. McCain's surrogate is trying to woo female voters by touting the fact that he supports requiring companies to cover birth control. Not only has he voted against that, he admits that he hasn't even thought about the issue at all. It would be one thing if McCain actually had a principled argument about the issue and corrected Fiorina's assertion, but he hasn't done that. Instead he just claims not to remember. Again.
I find it sad that you are still expecting principled arguments about anything from either of the remaining candidates. We're down to two empty suits who only do what is politically expedient in every situation, which is just what we deserve.
It's not about McCain's charm. It's a full blown media bias against mainstream American values (which Obama represents), because the media is run by the same anarcho-capitalists extremists that run the Bush whitehouse and are running the McCain campaign.
for someone who insisted so strongly on his record,it's laughable that he doesn't remember what he voted for.
