the ak47 classic assualt rifle with the old 7.62x39mm travels at 2300 feet per second. A BB traveling at 4000fps is almost as powerfull. the BB would penetrate skin and internal organs. And 20 rmp? your basicly killing eachother like real guns still.

You had guys playing US Army Special Forces, Delta Operators, Rangers, Marine Force Recon, and Navy SEALs. He was likely playing an Air Force Pararescue, or PJ, they recover downed air crews. They use flight helmets on some of their ops if they just put down from a rescue bird at a crash site. Best friend was a PJ in Afghanistan while I was a Paratrooper in Iraq. Now their TACTICS were non-existant, but nothing wrong with people having some fun with roleplaying.

if he/she is atleast 10yr old, paintball will teach them something(run,dip,dodge,dive) but Airsoft is something they can start out in b4 moving to paintball. just as long as they wear the right eye protection(ie. paintball mask or Really good worksite glasses) they will get welts and they will whine to mom. well that should help you out, cheerio!
