Well, at least you didn't have enough power to get into trouble with it. The real-life 205 is know for its wonky handiling aswell, since the transmission and engine placement are more on one side of the car than the other. And of course the short wheelbase that you mentioned, it all adds up into an odd little monster.

Although I'd like to claim otherwise, real life and GT4 don't have enough of a crossover to make such a comparison - and nor do a FWD NAsp 1.6/1.9 205 and a mid-rear turbo 205. It's also basic racing knowledge that if you're understeering you must scrub either some power or some steering or else end up in a wall/kitty litter.

Not that I care - I ended up ahead anyway.

Well what do you expect if you lift off the power mid corner. Its a 205 - I have owned one and rallied it a few times, abeit not a T16 but mine still had lift off oversteer. And anyway its basic racing knowledge to keep the power constant until the apex and then power out smoothly (regardless of banking) - unless ofcourse your drifting, which is what I mostly use the T16 for on GT4

As you can see, the silver 205 (me) drops straight into oversteer at the next corner. The first white car, which passes me and then is repassed by me, just got the line in the banked curve wrong, as you say.

I bring up driving aids as they are relevant. Drive the 205t16 – or Renault 5 - at High Speed Ring with any of them on and you won't notice its tendency to oversteer in banking. Take them off and you will. The heavy rear end just wants to visit the top of the corner.

To which "you" are you referring? There's three cars in the video. And, without driving aids (as in all our LAN races), the mid-engined 4WD cars - and in particular the 205t16 with its short wheelbase and high turn moment - do not handle banked curves very well at all.

i still say its the line. if you entered a bit higher and in the middle were down low it wouldnt be as bad. Why bring up no driving aids? i think everyone drives without them.. myself included.. they are useless..

as you can see the dark silver 205t16 handled that corner fine. unlike the white one and whichever one spun out
