there is a Z1 which has a displacement of 900cc and was later sold as an improved version called Z900 or KZ900. The bigger versions were the Z1000 or KZ1000.

The Z/KZ problem comes from the fact that KZ is an abbreviation for the german word "Konzentrazionslager" which means concentration camp in English. One cannot use the abbreviation KZ in Germany and other parts of Europe so the KZ (US market) was renamed into Z (Europe).

That's no problem. What I wanted to tell you is that the Z1 is nicer to look at - in my opinion - but has a much weaker frame. This makes it very hard to keep control at higher speeds. My father once went 220kph but he told me he would not do this again because it feels like the bike does what it wants and not what you try to tell it to do...
