Every singer has a signature song and I think this is Johnny's. This song to me is his best performed although there are many delightful ones. This song is so ferfect that I wish I was the one who sung it.
This was in fact my very first Johnny Mathis album i bought with my own money when i discovered him back in 1978. I was a kid of 13. I remember committing every song to memory. My favorites have to be Jenny (written by my good friend Jack Segal and Paul Vance) and My Love for you. I was such a sappy kid.

This song is a landmark in the history of music, and as far as I know, only JM did it.
I wonder if anyone would have an alternative recording of this song (live presentation, video, etc) I´d like very much to see that.
