deadfussy. your opinion ofcourse is valued but i believe, as a clarinetist (one who is currently learning this pieve) that there is no age limit. ofcourse a more mature player would play it with a purer and more subtle tone but it is excellent that a younger player is learning it and is willing to give it a go. As you stated, it is a difficult piece but a challenge is what all musicians need to thrive.

I know it's not a very difficult piece, but it should be performed by a mature artist, not for someone who is learning. It's poetry. There are another pieces you can practice with.
