Whenever you tell a bio-pic, either in a book, mini-series or feature film, it has to be about a universal and interesting theme... if you like this kind of movie watch it great quality at
500 days of summer will get some oscar buzz for best picture along with inglorious basterds, district 9, and i have a good feeling about avatar, invictus and sherlock holmes.
Inglourious Basterds deserves the gold from the movies out right now. But, something tells me that there are many more movies to come to give it a run for its money.
Best Picture: Aliens in the Attic, a stunning indictment of the military industrial complex and the 21st century family dynamic.
Best Screenplay: Wall-E, gives David Mamet a run for his money in the dialog department.
Actor: Jeremy Pivet as the washed up used car salesman in The Goods brings a sensitivity and emotional realism to the screen not seen since Death of a Salesman.
Actress: Heather Graham takes on the revolutionary role of a down and out stripper. Her brave choice embiggens us all
It seems like this movie is trying too hard (especially to be an Oscar contender). I might catch it on tv late at night and not consider it time wasted but otherwise... Also, I disagree with one of the people you interviewed. I think tons of people know who Amelia Earheart is. Amelia Earheart, Eleanor Roosevelt, Susan B. Anthony, every child is pretty much given the same education when it comes to influential women and African Americans when those months roll around during the school year.
As Grace has already announced on Friday, Astro boy will unfortunately not be receiving a review due to Grace contacting a virus and having to cut the shoot short.
BTT hill return on WEDNESDAY with an episode for "This Is It".
I saw Amelia earlier today and I found it okay to decent. It isn't a horrible film by any means but it's pretty ordinary, overall. As for which films I think SHOULD get Oscar consideration, I say Bright Star, Inglorious Basterds, Away We Go, Star Trek and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince should at least score some technical nominations and I wouldn't mind seeing one of those nominated for Best Picture (none of them will get there, unfortunately).

lol It was awesome though

I will agree it was awesome. Nothing goes together with beautifully written Broadway music with merciless slaying.

I predict that she does not make her final flight in her life - and that is why reviews are bad - no suspense.

That priest was really trying his best to sound smart, wasn't he? He fooled no one.
If Clint Eastwood had directed this movie, there'd probably be another Oscar in it for Swank.
