I just realized something. The drop G tuning means that, if the bass plays its lowest note, it actually goes lower than a piano can (by two semitones). That's insane.

it's in drop G @_@ not really sure why they went so low (a minor third/1.5 steps lower than drop A#: GDGCEA), but I assure you the lowest note is G. I personally don't wanna risk breaking my strings tuning that low hahaha. I would rather play it on a 7-string since the low B string can handle being that low, and the other strings are tuned down just one step instead.

I actually figured out the tuning a couple days ago, but thanks for the info anyways. And yes its definitely drop G. I'm working on tabbing the song out since no one else has. I don't gots a 7 string guitar but I bought some heavy gauge strings; 14-65s.

haha sure thing. yeah I think you should be able to go that low with those strings without too much issue, aside from patiently adjusting the strings. definitely be careful not to spin the tuners too fast. It might help you to watch schehf's cover of it; he's a German guy who covers a ton of In Flames songs. The video doesn't show his hands much, but there aren't any vocals in it so that should help a little. Good luck! your youtube poops are pretty good, I might subscribe :D

nah not an octave higher. the very first chord in Bullet Ride is a G...so comparing that to the very first chord in this song, also a G, you'll find that it's an octave lower. Tuning-wise, Bullet Ride can be played in Drop C or C standard..both of which, in comparison, are much less likely to break the strings of a 6-stringed guitar. With heavy gauged strings, though, it's okay to tune down to Drop G (GDGCEA).
