  • very good, picked it up instantly thanx :)

  • I think it is like this:

rhythm 1: Yankadi (a flirtation dance) 2: Macru (the sped up version of yankadi Played in conjunction with it) 3. Kassa 4. Basic "passport rhythm ( it sounds like Pa Go Pa) 5. Maybe an accompaniment to Tiriba, though I never hear it played this way.

  • Good stuff - Thanks for sharing.

  • Well. I just started learning how to play djembe.... I have 0 musical background.

I clicked this link thinking I could learn a few simple rythyms.......

    No such luck.

Those are some awesome sounds! I cant wait to get as good as you. I like in the 3rd one you show your face, can see you are still learning. TOTALLY awesome.

    My mind has been blown.

Thanks for giving me something to look forward too.

  • I see you started with Yankadi, than Macru but what were the other rhythms that you were playing after that????

  • rythm 1 is an accompanment to yankadi

rythm 2 is an accompanment to Sinte

rythm 4 is an accompanment to Kassa

    rythm 5 might be tiriba

  • Great job I could learn more from watching this then my last instructor.

  • i like the third one

  • Great video for me (since I'm a beginner). Thank you.

  • nice

  • Thank you

  • Love the fact that you play each rhythm long enough and slowly enough for me to try it; it gives me a chance to watch each hand separately.
