  • Man that's a really sweet sound you got there. I'm a huge fan of bluesy guitar. What kind of amp are you using for this?

  • this is great for people who are just getting into neo classical something they can understand tht isnt to hard

  • Mate, I know this has been posted for a while, but I've only just found it & it's truly inspirational. Saves being pentatonic'd to death. Thanks!

  • Mate, I know this has been posted for a while, but I've only just found it & it's truly inspirational. Thanks!

  • @BerkLeeDrm ahh cool , yeah get it now , maybe the guy you called "guy" has grand delusions of himself lol. I call most people buddy , if anyone see'e anything wrong with that then their obviously total muppets. ;)

  • @tabulaerasae82 you must be a musician, only musicians are as persistant as you..and me..hahahahahahahah

  • @BerkLeeDrm haha yeah very, very true berkleedrm , your either born with it or your persistant lol.

Also its rude to leave a question unanswered . ;) cheers

  • Thanks so much really helpfull

  • good stuff. Im somewhere between absolute green newbie & an ok guitar player .....But Ive been using basic penatonic for many years & still just ok at it .......iVE Always wanted to move around a little more on the neck for tone variation. This helps, thanx.

  • Great Lesson, some close up shots of the Fret board would be help greatly... :)

seriously thanks, people like you make a difference.... in my guitar playing skills, lol, cheers!

  • I have no problems with that guitar. If I had a thing for blue, I'd probably love it.

Blue's not one of my favorite colors though.

  • what`s a triad?

  • Great lesson, thanks a bunch.

  • great lesson. thanks

  • That was so helpful! Thank you!

  • i got 3 letters for you,WOW!!!

  • Great and educational! Now stop running marathons and get a beer and a pizza! ;)

  • Great video. And also, that's a nice hat hehe. Represents the swedish national football association (SvFF).

  • i have a question reguarding the dorian position. I had a gentleman tell me to try and find the dorian position no matter what mode i was in. any way you think u could simplify that idea for me??

  • Illucid, disreguard it, no matter what mode you're playing in you can find the other modes. For instance if you playing in the key of E mode aeolian you're also playing in the key of C mode Ionion. It all depends on what key your playing in and what your progession is. He's probably trying to say get comfortable in one mode first because they are all tied together.

  • respect

  • cool man, liked the examples

  • Great lesson! Biggup!

  • fantastic!

  • I have that exact guitar haha

  • ok, 4get about the «withou picking»

  • what i dont understan d is this : is it like hameer ons- pull offs and slides at the same time, without picking?

  • nice tone and touch u have.. it sounds nice and clear even when you're just playing a few simple notes, that's a bit unusual here on youtube

  • the best lesson on triads i've seen so far on youtube. thanks!!

  • what effects is that?

  • is that the deluxe edition? what gauge strings are you using?

  • Deluxe Players Strat. 09-42.

  • I think I see you vibrato on a note during a scale to hide a wrongly placed flat that was slick (Sorry I dont know guitar im talking in violin speech because ive been playin' for 5 yrs but I think its the same)

  • Yes I try hard to hide my many mistakes.

  • Nice video...Question...Do you play the triads over certain chords or any of the G triads woks in the G key anytime....Thanks in advance...

  • If the tune is in the key of G, any of these triads shown here will work, but how you play them will of course matter.

  • @rotren wow , probs just made my best sub this year!! this is a great lesson , sounds so beautifully refreshing to start work on these ideas. you have a great talent..thanx for your vids , really really helps as ive not been playing long.

  • i would recommend playing the triads with their respective chords just to start, then experimenting with harmony and mixing and matching after you have a good feel for which notes sound good with which chords. does that make sense? is it helpful?

  • i was gonna say the same... i guess it is helpfull

  • @maxamy2000 improvise by each chord, chord tones always work on their perspective chords, everything else is up to you. don't think scales, listen to how every note sounds. no such think as wrong note, it's all about resolution

  • im soo confused * * *bangs head on wall sry me nub

  • between 00:40 and 00:48 are you trying to hipnotizing me? lol

  • Absolutely. You are now completely under my command and must do whatever I tell you, until you hear the command "rise and shine". Ok?

  • This was a joke too, in case you're wondering :)!

  • good lesson!

  • can you play puff the magic dragon for us?

  • It's so cool you've supplied a download link for the tab and video via your website.

Five stars and a big thank you!

    Antill

  • so wait all those notes of those different chords are in g major?

  • Yes.

  • oops i mean triads**

  • whats a traid??

  • Great lesson ,

    Thanks

  • Very good

  • nice lesson, i really like ur sound...and i hate them "note by note" especially ur talking about solos when played fast...they lack emotion and feeling...

    thanks:)

  • Strats don't have humbuckers (noise cancelling) but single coil pickups, though you can add humbuckers to a strat type guitar, and they sound just fine. BTW excellent lessons, you're a great teacher rotren! thank you so much :)

  • WOW!! ive always wondered wats teh difference between a stratocaster and a normal guitar is it the bridge or the humbuckers or something??

  • Thanks guys! I am glad the lesson appears to be useful to some!

  • this is absolutely useful man...thank you very much for the video....

  • nice playin/lesson man. i was thinking about getting that guitar. it sounds awesome, especially when you play it, so i think i might go try it out at the shop.

if i get it im not sure what finish to get though.

  • Robert, you are definitely one of my favorite guitar players/teachers on youtube. I love your playing and the sounds you get from your guitars and amps...nice Strat, too!

  • Excellent lesson man... Congratulations !!!

    I'll practise with it.

  • Great lesson as always, Robert. New strat sounds great.
