Anybody knows that BMW's use inline (not V) engines for 6 cyls and that's why they produce so much power.

ya, the fact that its a straig6 does influence the power (as does the software and tuning of the car)... the i6 is also more efficient than a v6 and much smoother. its not just about the weight distribution.
