  • Climate change and youth delinquency. A deadly mix.

  • Use mighty power of nature

In the northwestern Australia, we have huge tides,

huge evaporation and huge dry rivers and lakes.

Evaporation is up to 4m per year.

Huge 12m tidal erosion can revive old dry paleo dormant once mighty rivers, creeks and lakes,

desalinate the country and change deserts to rain forests to provide more rain across Australia = less Bush Fires

World population is growing rapidly and we need more energy, food, land and water.

  • Doesn't feel like the fires were in 2009.

  • YES near yerring

  • I went up to Kinglake five days after the firestorm hit and I can tell you as far as the eye could see it was just pure devistation. I was helping putting fences back up around properties, and to be standing next to 70ft high trees and seeing them burnt up to 50-60ft high made me realise just how devistating these fires were.

  • WOW 46.4C! And i thought that 30C was hot!

  • It is so VERY sad that the likes of 'wiggymole01' use such a tragic and horrific event to seek the attention he appears to lack in his sad and pathetic life! I excpected more from a person of 37 years of age!

  • the law should be like the old days a eye for a eye

  • i cant begin to imagine if in another 15 20 years time we get bushfires that are worse then this

  • STUPIDITY! The fires were raging for DAYS..when r people gonna realize LIFE IS MORE IMPORTANT than material things? how fcuking stupid do u have to b to put urself and ur WHOLE family at risk to try to put out a fire yourself?????? These fires had been raging for ages, and people CHOSE to stay...The government should have forced rescue/evacuate everyone by calling in the Army...

  • why are so many people on youtube saying that australia should burn and that we deserved this we did not deserve this no one deserves this no matter where you live in the world

  • Our thoughts and prayers are with you from Scotland. Stay strong.

  • ** ~ LISTEN UP COBBERS ~ **

The hate messages are political propaganda - Don't lose our rights!!!

Rudd is trying to implement his new internet filter policy - kinda coincidental the Arsine is also a Child Porn addict woudn't you say? Oh, and his also an Arab ... - "The most hated man in Australia" is a tool for Zionistic occupation and overturn of our rights!!!!

Look at America!! - Look at ADLs legislation S1959 - Rudds wife is a Jew - you want to go down the same path as America ??

  • TO ALL AFFECTED BY THE FIRES MY PRAYERS AND SYMPATHIES ARE WITH YOU ALL MAY GODS LOVE AND GRACE HELP YOU OVERCOME THIS herendous tragedy rock on aussies you are in my heart GOD BLESS

  • you know, shit like that just stirs more shit yeah? It IS a terrorist attack - hundreds of people have died. One of my work mates died. Don't stir the bullshit and the racism - A realist will realise that this is an attack of terror, even if it wasn't intended. His name is not mohammed, but the prophet Mohammed WAS NOT A TERRORIST. I am not a muslim, nor am I a christian or a catholic, a buddhist or a hindu, nor am i a jew, I don't particularly care what religion he is either. He's a terrorist.

  • omg 47 degrees! omg ! irelands only ever reached like 26 degrees and that was only for one day in like 2006 or something and we thought that was hot !

  • something tells me that this guy could be a firebug/arsonist in the making. He is a home grown terrorist in the making maybe? I ask but I don't accuse. This person is going up to help you. um er?

  • So you want to take your hate out on the people who live in those towns do you? I bet you aren't even aboriginal or even part aboriginal you ass. I am part aboriginal and I wouldnt want this shit to happen to any human being. Take a course in humanity before you slip further into the hell of you mind.

  • 10+ CONFIRMED DEaTHS OF CHILDREN - &Up to 400 possible deaths by fire - they have not even paused to count the bodies or to do proper statistics - This is most tragic event we have had in our history & further yet our food supply has been hit.

You all dont know our environment the rest of the world is in a winter.

These are all farm properties & communities that live in a very dry forest/bushland, its not a matter of simply house design/car designs the temperature would disintegrate you

  • do you know if there are any aborigines killed or affected by the fires? has there been news which says there are differences between any dead people. they are people of australia and i am sad for everyone of them, what ever race they decended from ..

  • over 180 people have died, thousands are homeless....and you lot sit there and be fuckwits...

  • wtf are you lot carrying on for??? dont use this as a forum for you to fight with each other. Honestly.

  • omg you cant possibly be that age on your profile .. you have to be only about 12 years old . grow up or get lost #

  • you should get a heart!

  • LOL you have no idea of the heat of a fire in a eucalypt forest. Melbourne hit 46'4C thats 115.5F. I was in England when the mercury hit 85F and I didn't hear the end of whingers. As Dame Edna said "We have strong independant houses in Australia that don't rely on each other to keep themselves up".

  • A little blaze??

That's the understatement or the century, and you are a douchebag.

  • gubbakiller - you are a JOKE - you are probably about 100th blood aboriginal who thinks Australia owes you a living, you're probably on Centalink benefit- IM RIGHT ARENT I ? - BLUDGING NO HOPER - SHAME ON YOU - GO TO PAPUA NEW GUINEA - they will eat you up there lol

  • You really have no heart. Don't tell someone that has lost family & friends to go cry about it. You obviously haven't lost anything in your pathetic life so don't diss on other families.

You.. have.. no.. soul. It may not be the worst thing that's happened to Australia, but it IS the worst thing at the moment. Which you've forgotten.

Fucking end yourself you disgusting underaged rat child.

  • whats the bet that he would cry over youtube not working anymore?

  • praying for all Australians right now. I live in LA and started bawling when I saw the news on TV. I'm trying to find a relief orginzation to fly out with to help rebuild these communities.... if anyone knows of an organization flying out of southern california.... please let me know...

    God Bless Australians.

oh. and at least for now, can we forget about politics and all agree that this is a tragedy? please people, some respect for the loss of these people.

  • you are too STUPID for words...please GO AWAY DUMBASS

  • Everyone online in Australia watching this needs to remember to HYDRATE AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE! DRINK WATER! YOU could be headed for a heatstroke and not know it until you start passing out! Your body is losing water and minerals in the heat, so eat something salty and drink lots of water, not sugar drinks or beer! God bless you all.

    Ms. LaReina

  • I realy don't think it was Arson,I think the fact that it was 120 f -45c for over 2 weeks no rain for years ,one good fart would set that off, pretty extrem conditions

  • You have a good point although there are more than one arson suspects. People hate down there and everywhere.

  • are you fucking serious mate! im living in this! theres over 180 dead! 300+ expected! your fucked in the head.....

  • I hear 230 dead as of today,thats a shame mate,hope your family safe

  • the abos burnt the bush every year as part of the germination process for the trees. there just needs to be annual back burning. thats about the only thing coons have worthwhile to teach.

  • i cant believe how hot it was that day!

seriously wen i was outside the wind felt like it was burning my skin off :S

  • i kno how dare they let ther be forests!! as if they would want to leave homes for animals and maintain the natural beauty of our country :)

  • You have to stay strong yes, but not think like you. You're upsetting people with your whole "I don't care 'cause it didn't happen to me" trend.

Well let's see how you like it huh? I'll throw you into a Forest Fire and then see who's saying "Shit happens".

  • Why don't these "tree changers" live in the concrete city? These areas are prone to fire and if we want to meet our green house gas targets we need to plant more not cut them down.

  • Apparently the fires are being named Scorch Saturday

  • Oh Well?

    Your a Heartless Mofo :|

    FUCK YOU BITCH.

  • get those greenies out there cleaning up, then they will understand peoples pain.

  • Ahh yes the blame game has started. Greens are the easiest to kick around, what about the arsonist?

  • millertas ....even the greens/conservationists will have to change there attitude as well. A lot of people have just learn't a big lesson.

As for the pyromaniacs, they come in all forms from all walks of life. Time will tell who what what type of person they are.

  • Please wait until the inquiry. I think there are a number of reasons including global warming which the greens have been warning about for a long time.

  • millertas......sorry have to disagree with you.

These fire have nothing to do with the climate change theory.

It's obivious, Australia is extremely prone to such natural conditions, unfortunately we humans come along and get in the way.

Before white settlement, the aboriginal people burnt off areas, they new the danger if they didn't. 300/400 plus years ago, the fire would have been much bigger, there was so much more forrest around.

  • I'm sorry but it all makes sense. Area's with climates that exist because of warm gulf streams passing by effected by climate change more than the rest of the world. Europe which has similar climates to Australia has experienced the same conditions in the last decade. Increasing temperatures, weather conditions that get extremer every year. California is another place which is currently under heavy effect from climate change.

  • So the solution is to cut all forest (NB one r) down, just like when there is a shark attack the solution is to get rid of sharks. There are many factors to this but it is too easy to kick around conservationists. Global warming is a factor (especially with regards to the intensity of the fires)and I am not the only one saying this. We as humans are all to blame.

  • millertas ......please keep an open mind, only time will tell.

One thing I do agree on, you so right about us human, we are breeding so fast and settling in all parts of planet where we should not be. What do you think? To me it's common sense to live in densley populated area's.

  • I always try to keep an open mind, there is no one answer to the problems faced by not only by Australia but the world. The warnings of excessive population growth was warned back in the late 60s by Paul Ehrlich. I cannot see people changing quick enough but I am optimistic that despite these horrible occurances people will learn to adapt especially us Aussies. Keep strong, respect others, try not to be self-centred and don't hate people, it doesn't help.

  • millertas ....I didn't know that, concerns for the over population of the planet started back in the 60s. Interesting I'll look more into that. Try to find a balance and most importantly learn and live together respectfully is filtering around the planet. I am very opimistic as well. It's fancinating at how attitudes from all cultures are changing.

  • Well before Al-Gore, I suppose people don't like to change. My only advice is to be flexible and don't over plan your life. I myself have recently had my life turned upside down but as the saying goes "when one door closes another door opens".

  • Absolutly no climate change caused this. Im in the fire afected airea and My land lord 3rd degree burns to 60% of his body and some fucker lit the yarra glen fires

  • @parrotscaraudio did someone light the yarra glen fires? the fires in steels creek were not lit, and the pushed onto yarra glen. or are you talking about the fires nere the yering winery thing?

  • thanks for the video....

  • "o well, shit happends. " - Gubbakiller

    You're a loser.

    End yourself.

  • Maybe it was the nazis?

  • it said 47 degrees when i drove past pet barn on the princess highway

  • If people want to rebuild in fire prone area's. Government law should make it compulsory for them to have underground bunkers, with fire proof metal doors.

  • absolutely, the towns should have them too.

  • yeh thatd work really well, fuckin idiot.

  • Ground level bunkers are a good idea but they must be suitable for firestorms and sealed completely from the outside with enough oxygen to keep the people alive. The easiest solution would be to allow clearing or trees around houses and backburning of undergrowth but you can be sure that your Green representatives would be against this. That are the real morons. What have the Greens ever done for anyone? If whales should be saved then so should cattle, pigs, chickens, fish and lamb.

  • :'(

  • 46.4oC is really hot for Melbourne OMG

  • Yeah it's crazy. We had a power out that was from 1pm all the way to 8pm. Then the next day from 5pm till' 9pm :(

  • Why do people build house in forests in areas prone to forest fires?

I you think about that for a few years someone might realise is is DANGEROUS!!

  • ufewl.....these people new the dangers and now some payed the price for it with there lives.

Personaly the government should band them from rebuilding in such fire danger area's.

  • I agree and I believe that the people of these areas need to have roof sprinklers and worthy bunkers. I also believe that the Green party should be made obsolete. That is my opinion.

  • Thats like asking why Americans build their houses in Tornado Alley. (-.-')

    ~clusterlizard1

  • yea thats like asking why are yanks fucking stupid.

  • Maybe it is because the those Americans in that alley have no way of moving to safer places? Many are poor. People live in card board boxes in streets over there. Land is scarce in America and prices have been high and you suggest that they just get up and leave?

  • people need to live on farms etc, moronic fuck.

  • shoogz1 ...someday you're gunna have to face being a man, you give people shit, you'll end up with a good belting.

  • People live in the bush all over Australia, even major cities are effected by fire like Canberra & Sydney was a few years back, the fact is a fire can start and finish ANYWHERE.

To me it sounds like you're intellectual matter is drooping out your mouth in a form of driible again. One day you are going to realize its just you dribbling shit about something you know nothing about then getting abusive once you look like an idiot, til then shut the fuck up :).

  • Well just to prove I am right I came accross this:-

Google "8038363.stm" and click the BC link.

"In 2002, he decided to chop down 250 of the 30,000 or so trees.........We were the only house standing within a 2km radius,"

He was fined $A30,000 for illegal clearing when he chopped them down!

Sensible fire breaks could have prevented almost all of the deaths.

  • a fire break could not have stopped these fires unless it was about a kilometer wide. 40kmh winds pushed embers far ahead of the fire fronts and the huge blazes created their own weather which increased their reach and temperature. i am not trying to say that fire breaks are a pointless exercise, just that in this case they could not have prevented the tragedy which took place

  • You don't build a farm house in a forest you fuckng cunt.

  • It is dangerous as you say and the Greens won't allow back burning either.

  • It is dangerous and foolish to build in hazzardous areas. The Greens won't allow back burning or land clearing around houses and arsonists are a dime a dozen and we have climate change. It might be better to not to intend to move to the country. It is better to live within a larger country town in my opion.

  • actually mate its far worse than Ash Wednesday.

while ash wednesday was bigger [in scope of area destroyed] these fores have killed more people than any other natural disaster in Australian History.

  • i know some one in the king lake area and when they were leaving his car rolled over :(

  • this is the worst ever bush fire since the ash wedsenday bushfire!

  • We now live in WA. My mum, brother & nephews are still in the Yarra Valley. Our house is there too. When we saw there were fires in the Valley, Healseville and even in Coldstream, it was a bit too close to home. Luckily, it hasn't reached as far as our 'old home'. So many lives, so much property. There is no one to blame. Fires scream through these places. The Black Spur has one main road in & out. The people at Kinglake & Marysville were trapped. Poor souls!!

  • Please keep posting the updates frasrulz... this is our best way of seeing what is happening close to home! - Thanks again.

  • Omg, I can't believe this is happening in Victoria! Thank you so much for posting this! - Victorian in Mexico.
