Remeber that individuality is also natural defence mechanism..
The moment you deny it and force yourself to believe things that dont make any sense , like "i am one with everything" you will become sick and psychotic...
This sentence "i am one with everything" is also contradictory to love , because love is always pointed to others..
And feelings are very dirty things , they can easily decieve you.
@munjerdo I dont think you get what Mooji is saying at all. Hes not saying to totally discard your mind. You are still going to think. That cant be stopped. You are still going to be "you", but just more at peace. Mooji just says not to dwell on your mind or emotions. That there is an underlying presence beneath, in between, and around them which is always constant. The source of all of that. Pure consciousness. Silent. Still. Identifying with that instead of your thoughts leads to freedom.
Identification has a past. A past that is difficult to embrace. As difficult as now to embrace. Our minds are of memories. Memories are difficult to accept. Please notice this about yourselves.
Identity causes suffering because it's impermanent, so if something puts our "sense of identity" in "danger" we suffer, we fear it's loss, because it's just a fleeting concept. Everything constructed will be destructed, identity is a construction, so if you do not want to suffer do not construct an identity.
To stop suffering it's changeful and fleeting nature, it's easier to get rid of it and not recreate it.
Who is the one who observes? the one who observes is the (SO CALLED mind) mind observing itself. But who is the one who knows this? The mind. But what is that stillness in the background thats always there? The still mind. But who is the one who experiences the still mind? The mind. But who is the mind? The mind. etc.etc.etc. infinity - The mind. But but but but but - the mind.
if you try to get something out of this, then can you witness who is trying to get something out of this? it takes quite a lot of honesty to not fall into unconscious sleep again. If you do, would you be able to witness that you fell into unconsciousness? And if you did not immediately witness this, would you be able to wake up again without judging your mind's so called "performance"? Peace
Identification is the mind in thought thats what keeps us trapped within our selfs...observing the thoughts is a key to the release ...then you go beyond thought....this is where you are on your own....the first things you my see is a paradox in all things even your thoughts...keep going witness without thinking...
It is not about identification or identity being bad, it's pointing out that identification with identity---identity as a personal "I" attached to a body being what is believed to be the source of existence---is in fact a mere appearance inside Consciousness and without Consciousness could not have room to play. We suffer the identity and by pointing you to the source of all, this suffering is terminated. ---zenji xxx
it is so easy and really quite unavoidable to engage in a struggle against identification with arising thought. This message helps one to instantly wake up from that annoying battle. It is, after all, the arising thought that IS the struggle.
To engage or struggle is in the thought process realization of that is the key to the freedom...a paradox can be seen everywhere once the key is turned.
Wulfgar12, it is the struggle that triggers the noticing. And once noticed, thought identification vanishes. But the problem, which is an extremely interesting one, isn't so easily vanquished by turing this fact into a mere formula.
You are the Self! The fact that you do not know this does not change this truth. No struggle can achieve who you are. So, why struggle any further? Anything you can observe and report on we call experience and it derives its existence from Consciousness. Without Consciousness no experience would have no room to breath and wouldn't exist. You are this formless Consciousness. ---zenji xxx
Q: Who are you?
A: My name is John
Q: No, I mean you, who are you, not your name.
A: I am English
Q: No, I am asking who you are, not your nationality
A: I am Jimmy's dad
Q: Cmon, I really wanna know who are you, not your status as a father of a person name Jimmy, The one who knows all those things...who are you then?
A: I am who is not the name, not a status, not a nationality, I am the consciouness itself....

No we are not both right , everyone is individual if we are not individuals than all life would loose its meaning. Life would be very boring..
What mooji talks about is fantasy , and after this "awakening" happens he will have money and you will have fuckt up life.

Mooji is fucking retard.
Dont trust him , dont destroy your individuality !
munjerdo 9 months ago
@munjerdo there is nothing useful, helpful, natural or real about that individuality
it just fragments humanity into a bunch of split people who can't stand themselves or each other
why not get rid of that?

@mutageno
You are born as individual and you will die as individual.
Individuality is real and natural.

yea.
so we will struggle until the noticing gets triggered
There is no other way unless you are aware of it before it happens. I guess.
