Is this really Danny Kirwan's YouTube 'page', or whatever you'd call it...? Am I being stupid? (Sorry ...) I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Peter Green ... and I've only recently 'discovered' him - having seen the recent television documentary... I am well and truly 'hooked' ... I've only listened to the other live version of this, when he's kind of 'put on the spot' when Danny breaks a string .. Awww... He sends shivers up my spine - and he's very 'easy on the eye' .. Gorgeous, in fact!
This is song is so RAW. Such a powerful and soulful piece of music. Peter Green is a true inspiration to me as a musician. He puts so much passion and soul into his music. This song reminds me that the world will keep on turning the exact same way without me, long after I'm gone.
If I shut my eyes, I can imagine Peter Green sitting on a street corner, in his dirty work dungarees, in some God forsaken town in The Deep South playing this song on a cheap guitar for loose change. It has such an authentic blues 'slap' too it.
Of course, as any 50-something will tell you, growing up in postwar Britain was a truly miserable experience and enough to give anyone the the blues. Maybe that's why we managed to produce Greeny, Beck, Clapton & co.
I'm trying to remember of a song that sounds like it's old. The voice sounds similar to the guy who sang "I'm Learning to Fly". It had guitars & Drums also. I can remember the lyrics with "The world keeps turning".... can anyone help me?
Maybe Tom Petty? mid nineties? It wasnt bluesy like this. But Petty had a some huge years in the nineties. He also does a good cover of "Oh Well" live.
Yeah Jeff (jeffwins) - He's still alive. Look for "Peter Green Splinter Group". Just so you're not disappointed, don't expect anything like this, or his old work - He's been on quite a journey to get where he's at now. I look at some of his new stuff every now & then just to see the great man, but THIS stuff here is where his soul is still at.
The most Awsome acoustic British Blues Song Ever!!!!!! I cannot believe it has been recorded!! I Love the solo elctric too. But this version put sany doubts to Peters "SKILLS" as one of the Blues Greats!
this should have more views...thanks for sharing man

Agreed his voice is brilliant on here and especially something like ' A Fool No More ' BBC sessions, and just about anything he sung haha.
You know...i do not beleieve i have heard this version?
I always play and sing this tune in the morning when im feeling blue, lovely emotive piece.
I have heard it live and a couple of other recorded versions from some compilation CD's.
