  • Thought it was the beetles to start with...not much difference in the sound! Love the Bee Gees...even if they are now only two. Sure Mo and Andy are still missed. Loved Mo...seemed a really happy kind of man....

  • hi Calamity538 :-)

    Thank you for high appraisal!!

  • This is the firs bee gees vid i saw and i have a question those two kids are members of bee gees ?

  • hi BeatleJohnGeorge :-)

    two kids??

perhaps, Robin Gibb and Maurice Gibb (Twin brothers)....and eldest Barry Gibb :D

    Thank you for the comment!!

  • i'm glad the beatles were very popular until many singer groups cover their songs... By the way the beatles were and is legends until now

  • hi aryowailangitoyo97 :-)

The Bee Gees will become a legend, too :D Thank you for the comment!!

  • ok i'm not trying to be disrespectful, i love the BeeGees, but they kind of sound like the chipmunks, Alvin, Theodore and the other one, i can't think of his name, sorry but that's my opinion

  • @userboy6 simon?

  • @userboy6 ...Robin?

  • @userboy6 This was a long, long, long time ago - the 60's - technology was nothing like it is today and the Bee Gees were mere children when they did this! It is delightful!!

  • Nice listening - thanks for posting.

  • @fieldfullofthistles Your welcome :-)

  • Good tribute for the Beatles from the Bee Gees. I wonder what would have thought John and Paul specially after hearing their hits performed by the Gibbs?

  • hi JM971 :-)

    Thank you for high appraisal!!

  • @honeybabe2007 My pleasure. I am a Bee Gees fan for life- and I have tried to be fair with my appreciation.

  • Worst cover I've ever heard.

  • very good!

  • hi kocsogarcu :-)

    Thank you for high appraisal!!

  • You Tubers, you sometimes blow my mind out of the water with the stuff you post! I never have heard this before!!! Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR POSTING!

  • @tiranchula your very welcome :-)

  • Think this was O.K when they were starting out, but they were seriously panned for doing the Sgt Pepper film many years later.

  • The Bee Gees have been around '58. Many people solely judge them on their 70s disco sound. They actually started out as something. This era of the Bee Gees is definitely overlooked.

  • hi jaketheman091 :-)

Might it sadly and underestimated by the disco sound still continue to the Bee Gees :(

  • @jaketheman091 Particularly stuff like I Started a Joke and To Love Somebody, now, they're greats! and don't get me started on Gotta get a Message to You

  • @jaketheman091 They dont have to be popular, really.

Its that everyone who could ever love them already love them.

    And still do.

    Guilty.

  • Not Bad at all. I like the Bee Gees more now than I did when radio was force-feeding us their disco.

  • not sure about the Paperback writer.. the others are good though.

  • hi Marlockie :-)

pls check to "Bee Gees - Beatles Medley (Live audio from Midnight Special 1973)", too.

    Thank you for the comment!!

  • This reminds me of The Birds doing Dylan. Sweet, folky and full. Incredible. A real treat.

  • this is freeking incerdable!! i mean yah, the beatles are still "gods" of their time but the gibbs brothers just did these songs some justice

  • hi gregord1986 :-)

Okay!! I will post Beatles Medley by Bee Gees....

from live audio The Midnight Special 1973 (If I Fell, I Need You, I'll Be Back, This Boy and She Loves You).

To the enjoyment :D Thank you for the comment!!

  • i love both bands :)

  • NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i LOVE both bands, but i like The BEATLES more, sorry Bee Gees!

  • you know who does a really good job at the songs? THE BEATLES!

  • @JoeMamaNewAccount Elvis and Janis Joplin coverd BeeGees songs, to name a few;-)

  • ac los hermanos gibb a la altura de las dificiles circunstancias

  • Very nice Bee Gees interpretation of Beatles music. Simllarities but differences! very fresh! Love that they are secure enough in their own music to cover the beatles songs. Thanks for sharing.

  • hi fugentagirl1 :-)

    Your very welcome!!

  • I recall seeing the Bee Gees do a Beatles medley on the Midnight Special back in the mid 70s. Wish someone would post that.

  • Please check out "Coal Man" by the BeeGees for the ultimate Beatles pastiche by them.

  • yah its good for a group to sing a beatle song i love them both beatles and bee gees

  • It sounds great but not better than the beatles ticket to ride is ok nowhere man is phenominal but paperback writer doesn't sound good at all

  • Where did you find this? It is really amazing that they would sings Beatle songs and try to sound like them.

  • Thankyou Honeybabe:

yes I have all the BEE GEES albums from 1963 up to 1979. After that I didn't think there was anymore favorites. I have alot more records shelved...............................

  • Hey this sounds as good as The Beatles. Not bad for a group secondary to The Beatles.

I have all the bee gees albums in my collection. But not this one.

    I like it..................

  • hi Norman :-)

    Thank you for favorited!!

  • Listening to this reminds me why the Bee Gee's harmonies were always better than the Beatles. Sorry Beatles.

  • hi riffmagos :-)

    Thank you for the comment!!

  • Cowards find their strength and anonymity within the mob.

  • Barry,Robin+Paul should do some song writing together, wonder what that would come of that, masterpiece for sure ;-0

  • hi Choefoe :-)

    Thank you for favorited!!

  • @honeybabe2007 It,sbeen in my favorite list for quit some time ;-)

  • Ticket to ride is great.

  • 1:46 what ebatle do you think he looks like?

  • hidod

  • hi dod

  • this cover isn't bad at all

    pretty good.

  • hi samantha :-)

Thank you for the comment :D

  • pbw sounds like our garage band-naw, we were not that good. lol

  • "The world is at your command"...ha ha ha. What a lyric. So true unless you live today where the black Prison Queen and Barbie dolll lip synching Mafia has a stranglehold on the music industry that regularly shuts out talent. Lady Ga Ga is #1...Yeah, and I got the Washington monument up my ass. The world is at your command only if everyone else has the same idea. If not you can always bet the only thing that commands is money and conformity.

  • Little did they know they would surpass The Beatles.

  • @TennisNick In a universe where lyrical content, musicianship, and vocal arrangement and ability are taken into consideration without the bias of megastardom.

  • @riffmagos We'll just have to agree to disagree on that one then. While I admire the talent that is the Beegees, I rank the Beatles at the top of the mountain when it comes to lyrical content, musicianship, vocal arrangement, and ability.

What's more, the Beatles had an undeniable energy that jumps out of your speakers, and no amount of talent can reproduce that.

  • @TennisNick We will agree to disagree. Here is where subjectiveness comes into the equation, and everyone's opinion is equally valid. Some people think certain artists are the best, while others thing someone else is. I do appreciate your attitude and it has been nice bantering with you. You're a credit to Beatles fans. If the Beatles elicit that special response in you, then enjoy it and may you always do so. Take Care.

  • @TennisNick I totally agree with your assessment, no one else comes close to the Beatles. Doing a cover version of a beatles song is like driving behind a car driving down a curvy mountain road at night, they are leading the way into the darkness and all others are just following their tail lights. But check out "Coal Man" for the ultimate Beatles approximation.

  • @smokeemonkee Doing a cover song of certain Chuck Berry songs is the same deal.

  • @riffmagos Absolutely!!

  • @TennisNick in the universe of funk!? :)

  • @TennisNick well, not surpaas but the BeeGees had acarre of 50 years songwriting! and as much hits as Lennon/McCartney. Beatles manager is a BeeGee fan ;-)

  • @Choefoe Exactly! I fully agree.

  • @TennisNick The duration of Bee Gees as a band, performing. From 1967 to 2001. Almost 5 decades of singing and writing career. How is it? =)

  • @KensY There first tv appearence even goes back to 1960;-)

  • Wait...what?

  • Their cover of Nowhere Man is brilliant, quite different than the original. I love it.

The cover of Ticket to Ride is much closer to the original, excellent cover though.

  • hi Emmalala123 :-)

    Thank you for the comment!!

  • Great song

  • hi marcello :-)

Thank you for sub and comment, Obrigado!!

  • Love, love, love Barry, Maurice, Robin and Andy!!!!

    But.......

They sing their stuff much better and John, Paul, George and Ringo sing their stuff much better too

  • Ticket to ride was excellent

  • hi Pedro :-)

Thank you for the comment :D

  • OMG..how old am I. Almost forgot all about Sgt Peppers Lonely Heart Club. Thanx 4 the memory..

  • bueno!

  • GRANDI!!!!! Voci Magiche!!!

  • Ciao OrchestraGemelli :-)

    Grazie per il commento!!

  • thanks NyeTunes;much as i thought, and a very similar story to the beatles themselves and their decca demo tape.

  • Yeah, many groups have a "copyright free" era. Bee Gees' Australian years; Beatles' Decca tape, Tony Sheridan tracks, and Star Club recordings; Pink Floyd's early tape of "Interstellar Overdrive" and "Nick's Boogie"... I'm sure there are others.

  • Wonderful to hear the rare LONG version of "Nowhere Man"! It's played a bit too fast (someone's record player needed adjusted), but still nice!

  • hi Steve :-)

    Thank you for the comment!!

  • nowhere man version rocks

  • hi kaisariani :-)

    Thank you for the comment!!

  • Wonderfull !!!

The Beatles in the world and The Brothers Beatle Band in Argentina !!!!

  • hi carlitos :-)

    Thank you for the comment!!

  • really good version. bee gees rocks :)

  • hi Jacob :-)

    Thank you for the comment!!

  • thanks.did a bit of research and found that it was first released in '70,(semi-officially?)and then on polydor in '72 with a new sleeve, but isn't listed in any discography.maybe they've disowned it. i have actually seen the dlp many times and thought it was yet another greatest hits compilation. thanks again.

  • Yeah, they have disowned it. They now consider "Brillant From Birth" (a jam-packed 2 CD set from 1998) to be the definitive release of these tracks.

  • great fun to hear this.would guess they're demos from '66.was the dlp a bootleg or official?

  • hi musicmansixty7 :-)

Yes it's official. this album sold in several countries including Japan and UK.

Lovin' Spoonful and Walker Brothers songs including, too :-)

  • The Bee Gees didn't actually authorize that, though. :-P They were in a record shop in the Netherlands around 1970, and found that they were carrying this mysterious 2 LP set comprised entirely of their rarities... they weren't amused!

  • hi wolf2272 :-)

Your welcome, thank you for the comment!!

  • Sounds to me like someone took the Sgt. Pepper version of 'Nowhere Man', extended it, and then faded it before the reprise version of the title track segued out of it.

  • How old where they in the photo at 1:13??!

  • perhaps 12 and 9 years old :-)

  • Wow! Thanks!

  • barry was 14 and the twins at 11

  • Interesting take on Nowhere Man!

  • Very interesting! I like it!

  • This version of Nowhere Man is different to the one on the Sgt Peppers soundtrack.

  • hi tesstink :-)

Oops! sorry...this was not from Sgt Peppers soundtrack but Nowhere Man(Extended version).

thank you for the point :-)

  • Awesome!!

Thank you very very much for the comment and favorited again!!!!!!!!!

  • can anyone tell me where i can download the mp3 version??

  • in the nowhere man song, the first man playing the guitar is i Barry , the second is Robin but is the third one Maurice?? it looks like Maurice is playin the drums.... could some one clear this for me??

  • hi kenny6000 :-)

Yes, Maurice is playing the drums. However, the power cable is not found in Robin's guitar :-)

    Thank you for the comment!!

  • hey honeybabe2007,

thanx for clearin my doubt... i dint know that maurice played the drums and robin the guitar(i know that they both play the piano and occasional violin from robin)

  • Robin can play guitar in addition to various other instruments.

  • the man playin the guitar next to robin is Peter Frampton...lol who would have thought right. its from the movie Sgt Peppers. Its an awesome movie

    Your Friend Mig vee

  • i really love this version especially nowhere man and ticket to ride lol. great vid.

  • hi mik12788 :-)

    Thank you for the comment!!

  • im soo confused, do the beatles sing in this at all? or is it all the beatles? cause if it is, they sound very alike

  • hi jackielovespatd :-)

They recorded about 10 songs of Beatles in around 1965.

    Thank you for the comment!!

  • they sound so much like the Beatles if i played this for my friends they would probably fall for it thanks for posting
