This week Virginia is having a tax holiday on "hurricane preparation" items. If you buy something like a generator you won't have to pay sales tax on it. The city I live in isn't quite as subtle. Their website has a page on what to do in an economic crisis. They are advising to pay down your debt, stock up on rice, canned goods, etc. Their website also says consider moving to another city, lol.

In my personal family/friend nexus I know people that range from unblinking confidence in recovery (and I get the highest quality ridicule from them) to those wishing it would just, happen, already. Gosh! (total collapse).
The only "minor" detail, that they fascinatingly all share in common, is that not a single one of them is actually doing ANYTHING about it.

This week Virginia is having a tax holiday on "hurricane preparation" items. If you buy something like a generator you won't have to pay sales tax on it. The city I live in isn't quite as subtle. Their website has a page on what to do in an economic crisis. They are advising to pay down your debt, stock up on rice, canned goods, etc. Their website also says consider moving to another city, lol.

9/11 was no joke. It was just either a Massive fail of all fails from our #1 in the world security defense system to a few guys in caves. Because afterall remember they didnt have any help from the CIA or FBI did they?

I'm with ya there. I think Libertarian values are what we need to fix this mess. It may not be quick and flashy like some bailout bill, but it would get us back to normal in 10 years.
On yer second question, sadly, most of my friends and family are still in the dark. Some believe that everything will be fine, some don't. The ones that see bad shit coming can't see the forest for the tress though.

Everybody here in mexico is carrying on with their normal lives,....the bank sent some publicity mail to get folks to invest in their investment funds,.....lol....been awhile now since that was profitable.
I recommended some of these vids like yours to a friend and she just stared at me like, "hey don't be a nut job",.....ppl. are too stubborn to want to see reality for what it truly is,.....prefer to remain in lalaland! =D

I have seen no different in the people that I know. Theyre just spending away like nothing is wrong! And talking only about what they can buy and tons of small talk. I have completey given up on talking to these ignorant fucks that I call friends and relatives!

I dont blame you for getting supplies - if things hit the fan, then transportation will be affected and most grocery stores only have about 2-3 days of food on hand.
preparing for an emergency is like life insurance - get it but hope that you will never use it.

Ya it was sad that we had only Gore and bush to choose from and what's worse, Gore won but we got Bush anyway due to massive election fraud. But everyone knows that.

Just came from Beverages and More (BevMo). I used to buy these containers of peanut butter pretzels by Anderson for $4; the price today was $8.99!!!
At another store I bought a baguette and domestic brie (the imported french stuff was way more than I used to pay). This domestic brie is garbage--ruining the whole experience. I'm willing to sacrifice a lot for this downturn, but sub-standard brie? Who do we need to war against to resolve this?

If you wanna vote for a left wing party, you have the democrats and to a lesser degree, the Republicans. All we have are left wing parties! My family is listening more, but they are too overwhelmed to do everything that they should. And of course, my parents are older and they just figure they'll be dead before they have to worry to much about these things. It's a little sad to watch people react that way, but that's the way it is. Good vid!

My Bro works for Jaguar. He wasn't worried until I sent him an article on Tata' finance problems. Now he doesn't want to know and just works more hours. Lots of colleagues around him have been laid off, but at least he doesn't work for Vauxhall (owned by GM).
I've told him about my hoarding food, buying silver and gold and not to buy shares but he thinks I'm a nut job.

Another good video. I recently received quite a desperate message on YouTube from a woman with kids in the U.S. who is alone and absolutely desperate. She is in a prime position to get taken by grifters of all sorts, and I'll try to calm her down. People are really scared, and with reason, but we have to stay calm anyway. In 2012 I'd like to be able to return to the U.S. and get healthcare there!
