If BP wants to stop the leak and seepage they need to do the following. I will not submit this update to the bureaucracy of DWH again. And the media is in same mode. They advise people to pass along idea to BP. Well, it took a Berkeley Prof. (even though it in water and seabed) to get a half decent idea to the front of the line. Another professor is needed to get this device and idea to the front of the line because this one will work ...

@buckj54 no - it's just showing the connection of the flange transition spool. But, without this, BP wouldn't have been able to connect the other tools that have actually helped stopped the leak. BP was pathetically unprepared for this. It should have been done in a matter of days, not months. this footage is obviously not shot a mile beneath the surface of the ocean. There is no way that you can maneuver a robot with such dexterity even on land. Took them long enough!! It's finally over. And it only took about 3 months. There was a very logical efficient way to get this done long ago, using the momentum of the oil upwell itself, since it doesn't mix with water. Just another way for the too rich to get too richer.

They advise the same procedure in the Gulf and if it takes a nuke to do it, then still do it. We are killing ecology, tourism and peoples' ability to make a buck just to please BP? Screw 'em. Hey i ain't an oil worshiper nor a tree hugger, the oil spill was bad enough but WE NEED oil because oil makes....your computer, plastic, tvs, screens, keyboards, runs machinary, video games, hard and soft covered books, wires, cell phones, and the list goes on and on.
However a large portion of oil goes to our vechiles and if we limit it or eliminate that need that oil wouldn't be a big problem, we would use it for everything else but using it to feed our cars.

this footage is obviously not shot a mile beneath the surface of the ocean. There is no way that you can maneuver a robot with such dexterity even on land. All the footage is different and looks so sketchy. In some you see robotic arms that magically cap a well blowing out at 750,000 PSI. thats using plugging a air compresser with chop sticks and a beer cap...

Took them long enough!! It's finally over. And it only took about 3 months. Now all we have to do is clean up the thousands of barrals of oil in th eocean, try to get all the destroyed businesses back on their feet, and figure out what to do about all the dying ecosystems......3 months to do that? That only took less than a minute.

But I believe that the Obama Admainistration is compicit in making sure that the damage is much worse. And they are doing this to pass their Carbon Tax bill and their Cap and Trade Bill. For both of these Bills will continue to impoverish America and put more people on food stamps (40 are already on them now) and have thousands of more people losing their jobs!!

ok people, this so called new cap is not going to work. they have already tested it and it was not so successful so what do they do they claim they will wait for more data. the pressures from the earth and sea are too great!!!! dont bank on relief wells either, bp will use them only to siphon off as much oil as possible while the majority enters the sea! that's what happens when you poke a hole 2 miles down. sad thing is, everyone in the gulf knows that its over but have no where to go

Blow up the damned thing. Russian experts who experienced tremendous disasters concerning natural gas tell us the only way they stopped it was by blowing it up. They advise the same procedure in the Gulf and if it takes a nuke to do it, then still do it. We are killing ecology, tourism and peoples' ability to make a buck just to please BP? Screw 'em. This just shows BP could have done capped this well in the very beggining and did the same testing....sure looks odd. Whats the reasons why they waited? Why did they ask for ideas from the public? The gov. has nothing to due with BP causing the oil spill or cleaning it up. Its natural we blame our parents(the gov. in this case) when get upset, but the real fault is BP and ONLY they have the tools to clean it up because the gov. doesn't but it took BP far too long to figure out how to do it.

Hey i ain't an oil worshiper nor a tree hugger, the oil spill was bad enough but WE NEED oil because oil makes....your computer, plastic, tvs, screens, keyboards, runs machinary, video games, hard and soft covered books, wires, cell phones, and the list goes on and on.
However a large portion of oil goes to our vechiles and if we limit it or eliminate that need that oil wouldn't be a big problem, we would use it for everything else but using it to feed our cars.
