My answer is we're born gay. There's a sexuality gene and you get one version of it just like blue eyes vs brown eyes (gay vs straight) . We come from the straight people, you can carry a gene for something and not have any traces of it in your appearance. None of the other ignorant ideas you hear are accurate. Whether you want to believe a god assigned you parents/ gave you those genes in a premortal life...or not that's up to you.
It's a tough life you have chosen and I feel for your struggles. For me it's a little more cut and dry. I believe in modern day revelation and the divine calling of the prophets and leaders of the church. There is no agenda for them to demonize the act of homosexuality other than to reveal the will of God. (d) Well, let me tell you, its not liking or not liking women or men that makes one male different from the other. The real, biological, historical difference between 'straight' and 'gay' is not so-called 'sexual orientation' ... rather its 'gender' i.e. your masculinity or femininity or whether you've a strong male identity or a female identity, inspite of being male from the outside.
(e) The gays are the males with a female identity who like men. In fact, originally gay (3rd gender) meant all feminine gendered males, irrespective of who they liked sexually. The Western concept of 'homosexuality' is invalid and is only a rehash of the original 'third gender' or 'males with a female soul' identity, who sought receptive anal sex from men using their anuses as vaginas. This is not how men like men. This is how Queers like men.

There are actually benefits to being gay! I think you still have a long way to go; even your connection to religion suggests low self-esteem or weak sense of self. From a social science point of view, being gay is opening all kinds of new options in male sociability and emotional expression. Furthermore, gays are changing changing ideas of family and showing loving non-familial connections are possible. Actually social science owes a lot to homosexual elaborations.

Andrew, My stance now... well I am trying to figure that out right now. My utmost desire is to do what is right and finding that out is extremely difficult, but I am hoping they will come around but I fear that what I feel is right will have me leave the Church.
I was the same as u in regards to God. Before I came out I was not to close to him but Know that I have accepted myself I feel closer to him and I actually go to church now. Some great things I got out from coming out was I also found out who my true friends are and I'm starting to get involve in the gay comunity and I am loving it.
It's fantastic you managed to regain your faith. Any faith can be a real driving factor in life. As for God's own views on homosexuality, I think there are bigger things at stake when it comes to your soul's future, I don't think God cares what we do with others behind closed doors. The sexual constraints mentioned in the Bible were probably put in place by the Catholic empire during the 1000's to gain a stricter control over their population. Just my opinion. This fully resonated with me. It's definitely refreshing to see another man of faith who is comfortable with his sexuality (and yes, you ARE a beacon of light).
The whole choice thing? Sexuality is innate. It's God-given. The problem is a lot of people (even those in the LGBTQIA community) are still confused. Some people have an easier time coping with sexuality as a matter of choice because there's not as much stigma with bisexuality.

However, the only reason that there is not so much stigma towards bisexuality is because then people believe that you then have a choice to be straight which I do not agree with in the least. In nature, and in any 'normal' society, if you're a masculine gendered male, which you obviously are, your sexuality for men, whether exclusive or not, is extremely valued, and you're the core of the straight space.

(d) Well, let me tell you, its not liking or not liking women or men that makes one male different from the other. The real, biological, historical difference between 'straight' and 'gay' is not so-called 'sexual orientation' ... rather its 'gender' i.e. your masculinity or femininity or whether you've a strong male identity or a female identity, inspite of being male from the outside.

(e) The gays are the males with a female identity who like men. In fact, originally gay (3rd gender) meant all feminine gendered males, irrespective of who they liked sexually. The Western concept of 'homosexuality' is invalid and is only a rehash of the original 'third gender' or 'males with a female soul' identity, who sought receptive anal sex from men using their anuses as vaginas. This is not how men like men. This is how Queers like men.

(f) There is a HUGE difference between the two, which the Western concept of 'homosexuality' and 'homosexuals' has distorted in order to give credence to their invalid concepts. The idea being to stigmatize male sexual desire for men amongst 'straight,' normal, masculine gendered males. Yudanashi, I live in a society that has been forcibly heterosexualized like the West was at one time, and where third genders are claiming to be 'men who like men' forcing the widespread sexuality between men in our societies to extinction. I have studied the politics and the mechanism of this. I have worked with all kinds of men, and researched the politics and history of male gender and sexauality and of manhood and queerhood (third gender). I am talking on behalf of all men.

I'm really happy to hear you, because I am raised in a very religious family, and I am bi, but I haven't really haven't told anyone. You sound like you where LDS (or still, in some sense are) and I am LDS (well sorta. I'd get into that if you want but its a long story) and I was wondering what you really did to let people know, because honestly I am scared, because all I pretty much know are members.

There are actually benefits to being gay! I think you still have a long way to go; even your connection to religion suggests low self-esteem or weak sense of self. From a social science point of view, being gay is opening all kinds of new options in male sociability and emotional expression. Furthermore, gays are changing changing ideas of family and showing loving non-familial connections are possible. Actually social science owes a lot to homosexual elaborations.

You're so right! Why can't they see that the "choice" argument is ridiculous? Would teenagers really 'choose' to be ridiculed, ostracized, get beaten up at their school and get thrown onto the street by their parents? If anyone said "I respect you but not your choice to be black" they would be laughed at.

Andrew, My stance now... well I am trying to figure that out right now. My utmost desire is to do what is right and finding that out is extremely difficult, but I am hoping they will come around but I fear that what I feel is right will have me leave the Church.

I was the same as u in regards to God. Before I came out I was not to close to him but Know that I have accepted myself I feel closer to him and I actually go to church now. Some great things I got out from coming out was I also found out who my true friends are and I'm starting to get involve in the gay comunity and I am loving it.

It's fantastic you managed to regain your faith. Any faith can be a real driving factor in life. As for God's own views on homosexuality, I think there are bigger things at stake when it comes to your soul's future, I don't think God cares what we do with others behind closed doors. The sexual constraints mentioned in the Bible were probably put in place by the Catholic empire during the 1000's to gain a stricter control over their population. Just my opinion. Thanks for sharing mate!

This fully resonated with me. It's definitely refreshing to see another man of faith who is comfortable with his sexuality (and yes, you ARE a beacon of light).
The whole choice thing? Sexuality is innate. It's God-given. The problem is a lot of people (even those in the LGBTQIA community) are still confused. Some people have an easier time coping with sexuality as a matter of choice because there's not as much stigma with bisexuality.

@GoodyGian While the Jury is still out on where our sexuality comes from I believe like you that it comes from God. However, the only reason that there is not so much stigma towards bisexuality is because then people believe that you then have a choice to be straight which I do not agree with in the least. I think that the lack of stigma towards bisexuality is one of the main reasons that people believe that there is a choice. Does that make any sense?
