A David vs Goliath kind of thing. But...

HGP Golf R36: "620hp" / 3600 lbs = 378 bhp per tonne

MB Brabus Bullit: 720hp / 4079 lb = 389 bhp per tonne

Even with an über-tuned Golf, yes. Next to impossible. That car is designed and spec'd beyond belief and everything in it is geared for flawless launches every single time.

But the Achille Heel in that heavy car will always be TRACTION: There's too little for that much horsepower output. Worthy matches:

1. Grand Cherokee SRT-8 with Vortech Supercharger edges over 0.5s

2. APR Stage III Golf GTI matches the bullit at that distance

All are tuner cars like the Mercedes Brabus.

Haha, tut sie nicht ;) Der G-Power ist so scheiße gebaut, dass er nicht mal einen Bruchteil seiner Kraft auf die Straße bringt (siehe das Video von Grip). Mit der Dreckskiste hast du nicht mal gegen einen Porsche eine Chance, ausser vielleicht dann auf der Autobahn wenn er Traktion hat.

BTW ist der 800-PS BMW sowieso schon wieder von Brabus überholt worden, nämlich vom Brabus EV12, der BMW mal wieder schlägt ;)

Ok, wtf is everybody going on about? The Bullit being a Mercedes starts in second gear for better traction (can still spin tires though) so its going to be slower off the line and the HGP R36 has AWD so ofcourse the Bullit isn't going to keep up from a dig. eitherway the Mercedes had nearly three car lengths (give or take) ahead of the R36 by the end of the race. Ones built for quick acceleration and the other is built for higher end speeds and it shows.

@FireballGER my buddy has got a 350hp Volvo s60R that he launches from almost every stop or light, gotta love warranty. If the awd system is working correctly there will almost be no wheelspin, even without traction control unless its wet or dusty.

not really. the 4 WD gives an advantage initially but the brabus clearly pulls ahead later in the video. The golf will probably be quicker on the track because of the lower weight and traction advantage but the brabus is definately quicker for drag racing.
