  • @borgduck And when did I bring up classic who? We were discussing SJA...

  • I wish more former companions would do this? And I thought Ian & Barbara stopped aging?

  • @borgduck Well, that "rumor" has been marked by most fans as just that, a rumor.

  • @OttselSpy24 Sarah Jane Smith said it, herself!!!

  • @borgduck ...Yes, yes she did... It was also a rumor. She called it a rumor, it doesn't make sense, and it's a rumor.

  • @OttselSpy24 Continuity was never one of Classic Who's strengths.

  • @borgduck Nor is it New Who's... David Tennant's "I never met Shakespeare" bit...

  • Bring Ian back!

  • Dammit, if Susan can do the Eighth Doctor audios (I believe her and her son were companions to McGann for a brief time), she can do the TV series!

  • BRING HIM BACK! BRING HIM BACK!

  • I say, in close-ups he looks like Bob Barker from The Price Is Right.

  • its weird, his voice hadn't changed a bit, but i was like "is that actually william russel???" before he spoke. they should bring him back. as @TsoLan1 said, that would be good. Mainly because chesterton was my favourite 1st doctor companion!

  • One of any of those involved to start should appear in this ...."renewal, hmmm?"

  • hmmm

  • He's sort of wearing the 7th Doctor TVM costume. Something of how it started with Hartnell etc should come back. Sorry, but Time Crash was (although good in itself) decidedly inadequate, Hmmmmm?

  • The episode "Mawdryn Undead" was originally supposed to feature Ian instead of the Brigadier, which is why the Brig had retired from UNIT and become a teacher in that story It would have made more sense with Ian.

  • @Metaldog14150 Mawdryn Undead would have been, better with Ian in it and made more sense but Ian would not know about regeneration how would the Dr convince him he was the same man with another persona?.

  • Brilliant Completely Brilliant

  • Chesterfield! Good to see him again after all these years. To the ship, Chesterson! The ship!

He was also knighted by King Arthur, you know... as Sir Lancelot.

Ian Chesterton should have his own series.

  • They need to bring him back as for a guest appearance. It would such an interesting reversal as when he was in it the doctor often branded him as the strongest person in the group and constantly called him "young man". Well if he came back now with Matt Smith it would be the complete opposite way around. It would just be so cool seeing him meet another doctor.

  • @TsoLan1 I want him back for the 50th Anniversary special! I bet if he met Matt he'd often say a lot of what the Doctor told him when he's argue with him. That would be so awesome! Although, since Sarah Jane established that Ian and Barbara never age and are married and still teaching at the same school. But I'd love to see him back, he still acts from what I hear. So they need to do it!

  • @legolover4321 Ah I treat that line from SJA as bullshit. I like to think of it how it happened in the real world. ie: Barbara now gone and Ian still around but very old. There's no reason for RTD to try make it into a fairy tale.

  • @TsoLan1 Tbh I think RTD actually left it open - SJ said it was a rumour

  • @Scarperguy Good, coz even if it were a fact I wouldn't accept that kind of bullshit. DW is Science-Fiction not a fairy story.

  • OMG this is AWESOME!!

  • Ian was always my favourite companion <3

  • BRING HIM AND FORD IN A NEW EP

  • He is just fantastic!

  • @xPokemonPlayerx So was Pertwee. However, all three mentioned are dead, so it's not exactly and easy feat to accomplish.

  • @GusF Moffat has said he has plans for a good anniversary, I just hope that means something for the classic fans (and that's the youth, too! I'm only 17 and have seen them all minus some troughton and Hartnel).

  • @martianexplorer Oh please do see Troughton and Hartnel, they are two of the best Doctors, they built the foundation for the doctor

  • it would be great to see him and Ford return to the series.

  • @martianexplorer I hope that he's still around in 2013 for the 50th anniversary.

  • He aged well.
