i absolutely love her, she is an amazing gymnast and incredibly strong. shawn is amazing also, i am a big fan of hers, but i feel like their styles are completely different, nastia always looks incredibly graceful, and while shawn is graceful, in gymnastics you kind of have to be, shawn is just so powerful and digs into the floor with every step and landing

That is what is so great about Nastia's AA win. Everyone gave it to Shawn including NBC. They all wrote Nastia off. The only one's that thought Nastia had a chance were Nastia, her fans, and a few experts like Tim Daggett. And I don't why it was like that. If Nastia didn't fall off the beam at 2007 worlds she would have been the 2007 AA World Champion. Nastia rocks

Nastia actually would have been 2nd at 2007 worlds without the fall although I think she could have won without the fall if she had been healthier leading up to it.

she was first going into that rotation and had a high UB score if she didnt fall she probally would have been first over Shawn Johnson

A fall is .8 and Nastia finished almost 2 points behind Shawn so she would've been in 2nd without the fall. Even if she got the same score she did in beam EF (her best score) she would still be in 2nd place. This isn't meant to be mean, I actually prefer Nastia to Shawn, but Shawn deserved to win that day. I'm kind of glad Nastia didn't get an AA medal in '07 because it gives her a reason to continue after Beijing (to break Shannon's record).
