Does no one get it? It isn't about the weight, it is about how we all make Jesus out to look like us. And the point is that we don't know what Jesus looks like. And, we can't even envision what God looks like. Did Jesus look like everyone? Or did he look different along with walking a different path? It's just supposed to make you think.
hate is strong word, but I would still use it. Its just unnecessary, what you should be showing to your church is a documentary on the lifestyle of pastors and preachers compared to their devote listeners and then remind the viewers what "jesus's" stance on excessive spending and robbing old people of their money for silly pipe dreams and prayer seeds.
If we were to make such a documentary, you might be surprised at the results.
Most pastors - or at least, most pastors I've met - take the issue of how they spend their money very seriously. We've all seen the opposite example - the wealthy televangelist who takes the money and runs - but every pastor I know understands that they've been given money out of their congregation's pockets to support themselves and their families, and that money should be used wisely.
