  • this is like push hands sticky hands

  • this is where we learn listening before actually progressing to sticky hands, push hands.

  • It is cool to see the difference between schools. I am learning the basics of wuzuquan in the U.S. at Shirfu Kam Lee's schools.

  • Very very nice. well done!

  • its a totally different thing from only perform the form without testing the skill, we can do very nice and powerful while performing the form but its damn tough to use power and balancing while the master or opponent is testing our skill, i practiced this form also, miss it a lot, this clip is very good!

  • look something like som bo jin 2-man of southern mantis, but with a little more yang

    look great

  • Very well performed. I was impressed.

  • That is why Wuzuquan practitioners train San Zhan many times before proceeding to other forms.. San Zhan is for body strengthening especially the arms, that is why it is the foundation form.

Having strong arms will not just make you strong advantage, it also makes you skillfull, now how is that for a stone hitting two birds?

  • Haha den it wud be ineteresting to see how you guys train arm smashing exercises. That is how skill should be tested! With the strength of your ngo ki.

  • well you have your own philosophies :) skill overcomes strength

  • Skill overcomes strength? Debatable coulbe but most of the time strength is more important than skill, What is skill without strength? Both shouldn't be separated. Is it training kung fu for strenghtening your body internally and externally? Yes. "Form without power is useless" -- Jet Li, fist of legend. Is like a gun wihtout a bullet.

  • Wuzuquan is not wingchun.

  • Is that form being done in the video doesn't require strength? Of course it does! Where you get the strength? Of course you get it from the STRENGTH of your arms! Your "skill overcomes strength" statement is questionable. =)

  • well i shouldn't really say "skill" i should say "technique" =). Combination of technique and heaviness. Strength is useless when you're being checked by a guy who has twice the strength that you have :)

  • of course not! never implied that its even remotely close to wingchun. To imply that it is, is an insult don't you think? =)

  • well wing chun did come from fujian. not exactly guangdong as a lot of ppl would like to believe.

  • i still think it's similiar, but wuzu quan is superior. only wing chun makes things look easier. wuzu quan is actually very complicated.

  • what no arm smashing?

  • There is arm smashing in the art as well. Its just not the purpose demonstrated for this exercise. :)

  • There is arm smashing in this art. Its just not demonstrated here because the purpose of the exercise is to test your technique. :)

  • Haha den it wud be ineteresting to see how you guys train arm smashing exercises. That is how skill should be tested! With the stregth of your ngo ki.

  • This is known as 'Catching', one person does a form (in this case the gut on the right) and the other one tries to upset their balance, and make it a little harder for them.

  • one would think this is Hakka Kuen. Beautiful.

  • its hokkien first. hakka i think is kejia am I right?

  • interesting, are they beginners?

  • very intersting,is this based on a form?

  • Nijuken,

Yes, the person on the right is performing San Zhan (3 battles).
