There is a video about how to eat Natto. You add the sauce and the mustard in the Natto and mix it very well until it has a frothy like texture to it. Then you pour it over rice. DO NOT EAT NATTO BY ITSELF! You're eating the sauce that should be on the rice.
There is not taste in fermented soybeans. Let's put salt or soy sauce in fermented soybeans with mustard. If there is not taste, the fermented soybeans are rotten beans.
He does it wrong. He should use chopsticks to stir and swirl the natto (with the sauce and mustard) until the whole thing is foamy and sticky enough to pull tiny silk out of. A crowning touch is to add chopped green spring onion into the mixture. Then pour the creamy lot onto steaming hot rice and enjoy.
Heh,Heh!! Dusty, I really can't stand the stuff myself either! My wife is from Japan and she absolutely loves the stuff. I make her sit across the room whenever she indulges. Nice try though...better than me. Stick to the bubble brewing...Laters, Fellow bubbler.
LOL Nice challenge, you need lice with it, though.
Put it on a lice bowl but not evertything at onece, maybe devide 2 parts and eat the lice with natto a little. The taste would be mild. When you finish to eat a bowl of rice. you may also finish to eat a whole of natto from the package.
After eating 10 times maybe, you could be addicted to eat it.
What poisanpoisan is trying to say is "Please stir the fermented soybeans well! It is not delicious if you don't!"

You know you're eating raw egg don't you? Strange to non Japanese, normal to them. But what if I'm a half Japanezey? ^^"

I think you have to add the egg if you want it. Most natto doesn't come with it inside of it. Store bought anyway.
