my Facebook page along with some videos. I have never met someone else with another natural morpher! I'd love to exchange stories, Please find me at Lisa V Koskee Cook.
I have a leucistic (pink) salamander, who morphed the natural way by the name of Twilight. It was a huge shock to me (and to her!) but we've both adjusted. I'll always remember the day 6th of April, 2010, at 2:30am. I was lucky, she clung onto the filter and I found her, in the halfway morphed state (I thought at the time she was sickening, now I know the signs) and I got her. she's almost 2 now and doing great. I tried to add her video to this reply but couldn't but please see her pics at
@glowingaxolotl uhhhh, gfp is short for green fluorescent protein. its like a marker protein to examine developmental pathways. you can really stain any animal with gfp; biologists use it a lot to examine developing neuronal pathways and such.
this is why i will not give people advice on how to change there axolotl and why people should stop trying to do this. Realize i did not say it was impossible just very hard. And if you did put your axolotls through this change shame on you.
I've read many book and been involved with axolotl keeping for some time. Yes it is possible to change your axolotl but in many ways it is simply giving your axolotl a slow death. If you are successful in the Metamorphosis which i will add most are not. After the change the axolotl will only live for a few years because it is so hard on there bodies. i don't want people killing there animals because i actually care about them.
Dude I red a book and it said if u slowly add iodine in small amounts it will turn into a salamander so I had a batch of eggs.I waiter 1 year and started adding it very little like I dipped my finger in the bottle and lett it drip off. Over 4 months later one died when he started to change the other was SUCCESSFUL
Q:if so do there babiest tend to undergo the same metamorphosis as there parents did
You know there might be something to that where they would pass on this gene but because there so few out there doing this naturally it must be very recessive
hey i have 3 questions 1* have you had any undergo natural metamorphosis *can they breed after transformation * if so do there babiest tend to undergo the same metamorphosis as there parents did??
metamorphosis? that's familiar, but i'm in fifth grade so i don't fully know the meanning

Very well informed video. Very well informed.
BTW, I'd actually be concerned rather than happy if my Axolotl metamorphosed, mostly because of where I live.
