  • sounds more straight siz esque

  • I'll find you and kill you for that at 0:12 !!! aarrrrggghhh

  • where did he get those shorts from?

  • Fantastic car, shame about the plate.

  • thats a v8?

  • @taystew

Yep..flat plane though, as in F1 cars.

  • I love the sound of old TVR....plain amazing.

  • Love it!! But you got in the wrong side :-D

  • YES!! YES!! its so pleasureable to the ears

  • I love you for having a TVR, but I hate you for having a custom number plate.

    Hm.

  • a TVR roars and runs to the end is a tasty TVR.

  • Not the usual sound you hear in my neighbourhood. Flat plane v8 is a rarity. Thanks for the vid.

  • Its good to rev your engine when cold (listen to F1 cars starting) to get the oil pressure up as was said... there is virtually no friction when the engine has no load on it so a few revs shouldnt matter. Its thrashing them in gear which screws them up.

  • Haha love it

  • just shows you how much you know!......modern oils are at there thinnest when cold.....revving it as hard as you like will do no damage what so ever......rebuilt lots of these since as far back as 1977

  • idiot,,,,,thats a dumm comment

  • try reading the advice given by lots of engine makers....Porsche is one.....they recommend in their car handbooks that an engine is revved and under no circmstances whatsoever must an engine be allowed to warm up on idle........so you reckon you know better than the best engine manufacturers in Europe

  • I agree with you... blips of revs when cold is better than warm up on idle.. you are quite right..

  • That's not entirely true. It depends what oil weight you use in your car.

  • Its true that thinner oils make a difference however it doesn't give a garantee against premature engine damage while revving when cold, you should know that. Its like anything without lubrication it will wear out pretty quick. I hope you let your turbo diesel car engine idle for a minute after having driven it? I doubt you do?

  • guys my dad did this comment not me :P i shall tell him this though :P

  • Sounds great. I want one! Are these cars reliable? as in would it be okay to drive to work in the morning and could you use it as an "everyday" car?

  • you can use them everyday but they aren't particularly reliable and require frequent servicing - but its a small price to pay for a car thats looks and sounds so good

  • I don't get it......I've read a few comments about not revving an engine from a cold start on u-tube......in my experience the sooner you rev it the sooner the oil pressure comes up...if you let them tick over it takes ages for the oil to reach the top of the engine galleries.....

TVR owners....rev em from cold....it'll do em good!

  • Are you insane? Engines should NEVER be treated harsh when cold!

  • driving it normally will get the oil flowing round quicker, revving the balls off it from cold will fuck your engine up.

    theres a difference.

  • These are little 3k revs, hardly blips of the throttle. What you should avoid is ricer-rific pedal-mash limiter-bounding 4k-10k revs when cold, which is what will do some damage with thick oil.

Toying with it a little when cold serves well to clear the plugs and O2 sensors. How would you get anywhere at all if you couldn't go over 2000rpm when cold?

  • the door is ready to destroy the whole car with the sound when it closes!!! nice car but someone must check the details! it isnt good for a sports car the door make loudest noise when it closes than the exhausts!! its a little bit funny!!! boum!!!!!

  • It was warmed up Asshole! If u had half a brain u would know they all smoke like that, ignorance is bliss.........

  • @AJCerbie

Pure Bliss... longer vid would of been nice.... few hours maybe ;0)

  • You wrongly assumed that the engine was cold then took it upon yourself to waste your life writing a fucking dumbass comment slagging off a bloke you dont know. Well done your mum will be proud!

  • Hello mate have i seen you about in faversham? I think i recognise the plate?

  • Yes, live in Whitstable and am about in Faversham quite a bit, used to have Cerbera indeed

  • Actually it sounds like a racing car.

  • what total shite you talk man !!!!!

  • I would also proud of my TVR if I had one, except its sound. That V8 (flat plane crankshaft) is not the V8 that every freak's keen on.

  • I am sure I have seen that numberplate on a Chimaera. Would love to own a Cerbera one day

  • that TVR sounds awsome

  • Those shorts AND a TVR...

Midlife crisis on toast here lol :P

    No awesome car though mate....

  • shit they have gone up in the world then lol

  • Yea, got a whole 1 horse power

  • i want this engine in my range rover

  • can you afford cars in romainia? i thought you all still rode around on donkeys lol, i assume you are in a internet cafe too like all these peasant countries cos you cant afford your own pc's lol, fuck all wrong with TVR's mate!!!!

  • That sounds rather tasty!!

  • thank you for your time

  • what a noise!!!

  • GREATEST CAR EVER

  • nice car, love the sandals...

  • lol :D

i like the car, sounds good :D

  • Sounds like a muscle car.

Wish tvr maked like this anymore.

    Pure untamed beast.

  • wish we could have those in canada

  • Would never pass crash safety or emissions. :(

Wouldn't do so in the US either, TVR's stance on Airbags is "don't crash". Thats official too. So I don't think we'll ever see one in the US unless its registered as a race car that has to be trailored to the track.

  • sex for the ears :)

  • Proper fucking car. Love it.

  • do you REALLY push a hidden button under the mirror to get into these cars?

  • YES :)

  • Great clip , What a fucken noise , even on tickover.

    Nice one AJ Cerbie

  • tvr is dead :'(

  • harsh man harsh.

  • im not being horible im just saying tvr no longer produces cars :'( sad sad day that was :'( another british car fades

  • Oh ok.

  • Great, Your making me cry man.....I loved these cars!

And how in the world do i get my 4.6 ford to sound like that?...GOD thats a beautifull sound!

  • Afraid you can't. The AJP V8 has a flat-plane crank, so *sounds like* two 4 cylinder engines.

  • Music to my ears!!!!!!!!!

  • i'm buying one of these soon..f**k it

  • ffs. i would warm that bitch up, then give yall a REAL show... i know that runnin it that hard cold aint good, but DAMN... haha

  • wtf. dat dood is a pussy. that car has SO much more power and can produce a LOT more sound... hes afraid to press dat pedal... what a lil bitch...

  • Yeah, how manly it would be to rev the nuts off a cold motor worth that much.

Think the guy cares about his pride and joy.

  • ever heard that you shouldn't rev a cold engine to hard, birdbrained nfs-player?!? while the engine is cold, a bit of fuel is going to condense in the cold cylinder and dissolving, or at least dilute the quite important oil on it... another part is that every moving part of the engine is slightly going to expand while the engine gets its operating temperature => if the parts are cold, they have more play. ONE cold start with a normal driveaway is equal to about 15 miles of highway-driving...

  • Errr how do you know its cold? Most TVR's smoke when you rev them..(looks more like oil residue) especially the Cerb.. might need the Valves cleaned or something i dunno.. and if it was cold it would smoke a lot more even on tick over.. But yeh even if it is cold so what he may have the money to rebuild the engine every 3.000miles lol

  • who thinks they should remake the cerbera?

  • ME DEFO ITS MY FAV!! Especially the 4.5! Its still a head turner.. even the sound of the popping as you blip the throttle or change down still makes my bollocks tingle no other car has ever made me feel the way that thing did! but hey they moved to Vienna, Austria not to be confused with Venice as i saw one guy put there made in Italy!! like WTF!! So yeh they only make the Tuscan/Sagaris now i think they stopped the others..

  • im with you there, if TVR go back into production then i definatly think a Cerbera mk2 would be brilliant. Has to be V8 though i think. I like the speed 6 engines in the Tuscan and Sagaris etc but for me they dont belong in the Cerbera.

  • My favorite British car ever =D

  • Its a thing of beauty shame about your pins LOL !!!!

  • Fantastic! Is that the standard exhaust ?

  • what was the reason behind the V8 being 75 degree instead of 90?

  • I think sth to do with fitting the engine inside, thats also why they had 2 valves per cylnder

  • Get some sun on the legs me owd!! Otherwise the motor is a beaut!! Cerbies are the best Trevs!!

  • Love Cerbs. Great pair of slippers.

  • fukin jesus christ.

  • Englands finest!!
