@stkbkr1 George wrote a guitar solo that he liked, but thought it would sound better if it had a backwards effect. So, he and George Martin spent hours (6 I think) transcribing his solo backwards. George played it backwards and then reversed it for the song so that he had the solo he wrote with a backwards sound.
