  • (not Apple) YES apple too. There was even a class action lawsuit against them for planned battery obsolescence. It's more than likely they do it to their other goods.

  • Not Apple? Dude, planned obsolescence includes the lack of possibility to repair a certain device. Look at the unibody Notebooks and iPods, once it's dead you can toss it.

  • @CruzzioXT I agree. Also, planned obsolescent includes making your customers buy the newest version every single time it comes out. Apple are very good at this. People NEED the newest iPod, as their old one is no longer "cool".

  • That's a lot of ignorant stuff to say in one video description, ironic that you'd say apple is better when in fact they are most well known for their planned obsolescence products. Get a good PC from someone that knows how to build a good PC and use linux not windows crap.

  • just use old stuff. it lasts longer and it works better imo.

    screw planned obsolescence!

  • jefrench1999: Apple is guilty of planned obsolescence. One of the most famous cases is the Click Wheel on the Apple iPod, which many consumers found to fail within 18 months of purchase (just outside the one-year warranty period). According to one Apple-watching website in the United States, more than 25% of 40GB Click Wheel iPods fail in the first two years.

  • jefrench1999: You're supposed to drop your old computer off at a recycle center that accepts e-waste. In the United States, it is illegal to throw a monitor or TV into the trash. Monitors contain hazardous materials: large quantities of lead, phosphorous, cadmium, barium, and mercury. When you smash the screen on the monitor, the tiny toxic particles become an airborne hazard.

  • Haha sarcasm is super helpful :D
