@jakobdp This is a pathetic movie, and Saving Private Ryan showed the heroism of the American soldiers, but it also showed some really scared (and scarred) soldiers, it showed Americans doing some inhumane things to germans that already surrendered... So I would not call it propaganda... Plus what you said about smashing the opponent without losing a single man: Have you even seen SPR?

Just looked at IMDB and going to answer the two main misunderstandings where people have not done their research. The PPSH41 was used by German soldiers and become the 2nd most common SMG used by German forces. It is not a historical error. Check wiki for sources. Panzer is the German word for tank so is probably not a goof. Check a German English dictionary. Better than the 2.0 rating it got. Although, the Russians did have better military tactics than that and the skinny tree thing is silly.

Saw this movie today. It's easy to rip this movie apart but it's enjoyble to watch because of seing how the story ends and just to see how bad this film really is. You can forgive directors for LOW budget, but damn, this one is really really bad edited and every dialouge is short and bad. It really makes you think if the director have any touch with reality at all, because he cant do movies. Someone need to tell him that.

All I got from this movie was a reanactment on film. It was well done considering the low budget, but the storyline was a piece of shit. A Nazi and a British officer see the Russians kill a few Polish politicians and join forces, plus the Rambo style action was idiotic to say the least.

There was one scene where a Russian officer orders a frontal attack, and a British adviser says he hadn't heard of such an order since WW1.

This scene is nonsense. The Russians had developed sophisticated tactics in attack by this stage of the war. Some of the gains made by the Russians in 1944-45 were among the most spectacular and complete of the whole war.

The makers of this movie tried to put forward some atrocious connotations.

That's non-sense. Learn some history. All battles were won by Russians due to their overwhelming superiority. Just compare the losses of Russian and German soldiers in WWII: 20 mln vs. 2 mln. The Russians couldn't and still can't fight. All they can do is to boast how great they are.

The Russians could fight.

The Russians did indeed suffer high losses, but then again a poorly equipped, motivated and led force always does.

I'm the first to admit that the wehrmacht was an incredibly efficient fighting machine, and advantage in numbers never cut it for any force that fought against this machine, especially up to 1942. The Russians reached parity with the Wehrmacht on a tactical level, and ran rings around them strategically by late 1944.

The dialogue and the acting were overall crap. The British-Nazi anti-Soviet friendship was of no surprise as I know there were many cases of it before and during the war. I was impressed with the special effects as cheesy as they were. The soundtrack was the best thing about the movie.

It was terribad, in one of the scenes two people hide behind a skinny tree, with 10+ enemies shooting at them, and they dont even get clipped. One of the characters names is "OMEAL" sounds like oatmeal eh? Why not name the character "Graham Cracker" or "Fig Newton". They don't look like WWII soldiers, more like a bunch of crazy bald guys dressed in old military attire.
