@ComeThruMurkin The pronunciations are close enough. If you want to get the exactly correct, find a synagogue and ask to speak with a rabbi. Explain what you are doing, and that you want to be using the correct pronunciations. Odds are that he will provide you with them.
as for the ritual itself, it's more common to vibrate the names when bringing the dagger to the centre, as opposed to when tracing the pentagram.

The problem here lies with wrong spelling of Hebrew names & words, mixing up sides for Gevura (should be left) and Gedula (should be right), and mixing up the directions for specific Angels - Uriel as a Light of God is for East (sunrise, fire & torch) and Raphael, God Cures is for the West (sunset, water & cup). @wisdomtime This particular ritual isn't witchcraft, if you listen to the names, they are Archangels (Raphael, Gabriel, Michael, and Auriel). What he says in the beginning is *ATEH* (thou art), *MALKUTH* (Kingdom), *VE-GEVURAH* (and Power), *VE-GEDULA* (and Glory), *LE-OLAHM* (for ever) and Amen. Actually, aside from the drawing of pentagrams, not much different than you hear and see in any Catholic mass.
@trayyarden Putting your hands in an X over your chest is the sign of Osiris risen and is not part of this ritual. The instructions say to clasp your hands together on your chest as if praying.

@Pyrhonikk I love Frater U.'.D.'.! One of the most underrated writers out there, imo. He gives a Chaos Magick approach to analyzing your work (definitely not a bad thing at all) while sticking to the High Magick system.
It doesn't matter which version you perform. It's more important that you perform it correctly and that you feel comfortable using it. As far as I remember, there is not much difference between any of them.
Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram is used to purify the environment of external energy. Must be performed before and after any magical operation. Outside the vocalization and gestures that are shown in this video, there is a lot of mental visualization, which requires some training. There are more complete versions of this ritual, but you will not find them on the Internet
LBRP = Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram. The purpose is to banish any astral audience and establish a protective space to work magic within. The LBRP is one method of banishment which is favored by ceremonial magicians in particular.
The way I understand it: astral audience: various entities and energy remnants residing in a space.
In order to avoid disruption of the energies raised during a working, the practitioner needs to establish a protective and cleansed space. Think of it like the cleaning doctors do before an operation so as to make sure germs etc won't infect the patient.
I use the ritual prescribed in Regardie's "golden dawn".
The one I found in 'modern magick' is the same, however, Kraig does go into a little more detail and offers useful visualizations while performing the ritual..

I really liek how you almost sing the prayers and holy names. It actually reminds me a lot of my time in synagogue. The Rabbi would come before the congregation covered in a shawl, and would sing/vibrate the Shema. Very beautiful if you haven't heard it.

Just a note to the people reading this.. The ritual he is doing isn't the ONLY way one can do this ritual. The WAY he is saying it is NOT how you have to say it.. This ritual is very powerful and it does work for what it's intended, but for those of us other there who do not wish to sound like a catholic priest.. You can simply SAY the words outright without elongating the syllables.

Thanks for the nice comments folks. In regards to the sign of the enterer, I do not include it because I was trained not to by my superior. Also, as noted, it is not in the version in the GD materials. I haven't seen many explanations for why it should be included and I figure it came into use largely because of the use in the Star Ruby. I knew members of a Golden Dawn lodge which incorporated it because acts as a sealent and they felt it offset not using the RC ritual as is done in the LHR.
@ararita418 While the sign of the enterer is used in the Star Ruby, it is used instead of drawing the pentagrams, not in addition to them. I have never understood doing both. The Star Ruby instructions say you imagine a pentagram on your forehead and throw it before you, which is kind of unnecessary if you have just drawn one.
Has anyone noticed at about the 20-22 second mark there is a very vivid image of Baphomet in his chest area in the wrinkles and shadows of his robe? Thank you for such a fine display of the ritual. It is the best I have found thus far. Very insightful indeed!

yeah, i noticed that too. I'm about to do this ritual tonight and decided maybe i should see how someone else does it becuase i have come across so many different ways i'm confused. Granted Israel rigarde's version is correct yet it lacks instruction in lesson one of the Golden dawn. Modern Magick, the book says to do the God form's the enterer, and then pronounce the appropreate word. Here i see as he does the pentagram he says the name with each stroke to a sylable, which makes sense to me

The word Amen originated from ancient Khemit (Egypt), and comes from the word Amon. I've heard that it means "let it be hidden", rather than let it be done or so.

Wow. Very well done. Have you ever modified the LBR to your liking? I personally have changed the LBR into something less of a ritual - which is something I am not big on. I will use rituals when needed, but otherwise I use sheer energy to get what needs to be done.

@wisdomtime This particular ritual isn't witchcraft, if you listen to the names, they are Archangels (Raphael, Gabriel, Michael, and Auriel). What he says in the beginning is *ATEH* (thou art), *MALKUTH* (Kingdom), *VE-GEVURAH* (and Power), *VE-GEDULA* (and Glory), *LE-OLAHM* (for ever) and Amen. Actually, aside from the drawing of pentagrams, not much different than you hear and see in any Catholic mass.

Outside the vocalization and gestures that are shown in this video, there is a lot of mental visualization, which requires some training. The way I understand it: astral audience: various entities and energy remnants residing in a space.
In order to avoid disruption of the energies raised during a working, the practitioner needs to establish a protective and cleansed space. Think of it like the cleaning doctors do before an operation so as to make sure germs etc won't infect the patient.

I use the ritual prescribed in Regardie's "golden dawn".
The one I found in 'modern magick' is the same, however, Kraig does go into a little more detail and offers useful visualizations while performing the ritual..

I really liek how you almost sing the prayers and holy names. It actually reminds me a lot of my time in synagogue. The Rabbi would come before the congregation covered in a shawl, and would sing/vibrate the Shema. Very beautiful if you haven't heard it.

Just a note to the people reading this.. The ritual he is doing isn't the ONLY way one can do this ritual. The WAY he is saying it is NOT how you have to say it.. This ritual is very powerful and it does work for what it's intended, but for those of us other there who do not wish to sound like a catholic priest.. You can simply SAY the words outright without elongating the syllables.

Thanks for the nice comments folks. In regards to the sign of the enterer, I do not include it because I was trained not to by my superior. Also, as noted, it is not in the version in the GD materials. I haven't seen many explanations for why it should be included and I figure it came into use largely because of the use in the Star Ruby. I knew members of a Golden Dawn lodge which incorporated it because acts as a sealent and they felt it offset not using the RC ritual as is done in the LHR.

@ararita418 While the sign of the enterer is used in the Star Ruby, it is used instead of drawing the pentagrams, not in addition to them. I have never understood doing both. The Star Ruby instructions say you imagine a pentagram on your forehead and throw it before you, which is kind of unnecessary if you have just drawn one.

yeah, i noticed that too. I'm about to do this ritual tonight and decided maybe i should see how someone else does it becuase i have come across so many different ways i'm confused. Granted Israel rigarde's version is correct yet it lacks instruction in lesson one of the Golden dawn. Modern Magick, the book says to do the God form's the enterer, and then pronounce the appropreate word. Here i see as he does the pentagram he says the name with each stroke to a sylable, which makes sense to me
