Some People like to organize their drives in different ways. I have 4 partitions on mine, have used that method for 20 years. If the C partition goes bad, I can reformat that and not lose data on the other partitions.

Perhaps you prefer a single large partition, That's fine, but pose silly questions like this inferring that people who wish to partition their drives are idiots.

I don't think you've enphasised on how important it is to ensure that a new partition is exactly what the user needs! deleting a partition can result in a serious data loss causing unlimited problems!
