Pity GM killed off this old and loved breed especially right when this G8 is such a beautiful vehicle. It is rare to find a stick-shift yet alone a V8 here in Canada =(

BTW are those DBA rotors really good? I have never warp rotors on my Firebird but with my truck I have tried Raybestos, Federal-M, PBR, Brembos and others ... they last just 1 year! (Is that a V1 radar?)

Hey Fro, was there some clicking? I was trying to listen to the pad noise if any extra. Next how far was the stop in feet? My G8 stops well from factory but better stopping is a plus. Any idea on the largest width of the rear tires? Thinking of going to a 265.

@Jjackson339 The stock rotors were beginning to shimmy a bit, so just figured if I'm gonna replace them, might as well upgrade!

You can do 285's on aftermarket wheels, but not on your stock wheels, if that's what you're asking...

i went with slotted/x-drilled brembo brakes on my supra. never looked back. the stock brakes were absolute trash. faded like a maniac. i think a lot of people modding their cars forget about the brakes which is vitally important.

Definetly worth the money for brakes. Lol im actually doing brakes on my allante. gonna try the $120 acdelco rotors and pads for the front. Hope it goes well.
