Mac's are way to expensive for me to get one. in my option the the only good version of windows was 98 and XP. My desktop computer(A Dell) finally crashed on me and it had my life on it and my laptop is acting up so i have no clue when this thing is gonna go. wish mac's wernt so expensive or i would get one.

All Windows version are crap. We used to have Unix machines at work; they were dead fast, very efficient and let you do what you liked without being asked everytime "Are you sure?" It'll even let you delete or rename a file or directory if it's being used elsewhere!! "Kill -9" works instead of the crappy Task Manger. Then there's "more", "tail -f", "cat", "sed" & "awk". All very powerful tools.

Windows is just for writing letters to Grandma.

This is obviously a hardware issue. A RAM issue to be more specific. The memory is faulty which caused random hangs, blue screens, and those error beeps. Mac's will do the SAME THING if this happened to their RAM. There is no way that Vista, or any version of Windows, could have caused this. PC's and Mac's are capable of being shipped with faulty memory.

every computer I have used, when that beeping noise is heard from your machine, it means that it is over heating. There are temperature sensors and caution points set within your bios.. if the temperature goes over those points, you will hear that beeping.
