  • I spy a Corey Busboom original. :)

  • This is awesome!

Regarding the auto-tune effect... it's not like Devo have trouble singing on key. They obviously used it for the strangely robotic synthetic effect it has on the voice...

  • like this

  • sweet!!!

  • Autotune evolved from Devolution

  • Auto-Tune corrects pitch.

A vocoder modulates an input signal using your voice.

  • Isn't auto-tune something different? I'm sure there's a difference. Oh, and I hope kids watching this think that listening and dancing to DEVO is AWESOME!

  • awesome. laughed out loud when they turned into spuds.

  • Back when I was just a young spud, auto-tune was called vocoder, and if you wanted to sound like a funky musical robot it was what you used. It just took thirty years for mainstream pop music to incorporate and refine the experimental sound FX tools that Devo, Kraftwerk, and P-Funk helped introduce in the '70s. It's all part of the plan.

  • Auto-tune? REALLY? I mean, it's still really awesome, but...

    *ignores because Devo still rocks*

  • The auto-tune seems to work in some kind of devolved way.
