The tone at 4:15 is just sick.  I may buy this whole rig just for that one sound. What is it? Sounds like it should have been pasted into Book of Eli! Great playing by the way

@Orthokevin  I agree! I wonder how deep is the reverb capability, it sounds great in the lanois patch, I wonder if I can get rid of my Eventide Space safely...

what is the daniel lanois atmospere delay at 4:15, that is AWESOME! is that a facotry preset, or can you tell me how you got that, i have an Axe-Std. Thanks!

took the echoplex model and tweaked it with envelope filter for ducking, and added the vintage delay model in parallel, a tiny bit of drive in the amp model, and a slight auto wah that i tuned with the envelope filter for touch sensitivity.

Hi Mentoneman. Partially thanks to your vid, I purchased an Axe FX and love it!!! I am thinking about a good cab to go with it. Any opinion? I am thinking about the Atomic FR active cab, did you hear good things/ bad things about it? I value your comments since your tones on your vids are close to what I am looking for.

I read that you use a Tech 21 on the vid. I d rather have an FRFR so that I can get a wider range of tones from the Axe. Do you think I could still get some of your tones? Tnks!

still don't know the answer to what is the best cab situation live.

i have a tech 21 on one output for amp bounce and guitaristic cab response, and a EV powered monitor now on the other output for FR resolution. and both have XLR outputs i can send direct to console. no mics.

@fatsuperfly just violin licks in my head i'm trying to execute on the gtr...nothing in particular..sensitive patch--i love when it's right but man does it crash hard when my fingering/picking coordination and technique is wrong!

Bufff, the dumble tone and the violin with the BB Preamp in front are really amazing! I would really appreciate if you share with me that tones cause I've really fallen in love with them!

I do own a real BB Preamp too, so as an Axe FX but not yet the latest version, I want to know your opinion about the simulation of this pedal, that has been my all-time favourite for a long long time...

the bb sim is cool in a fat way, but i get more precision attack shaping and front end touch sensitivity using the real deal in front of the axe.

@jhuggins27 the power engine is kinda congested in the mids and spikey in the treble so i just eq it to compensate, and then try to find dynamics in the axe any way i can!

@99voltsdotcom it's my main live rig, but i think there are still things about it that the tube amp rigs do better. smoother transition from clean to dirty with volume knob, warmth around notes, fatter highs, easier quick adjustments with real amp tone controls...
