Thanks much for posting this! It is very clear.I have grown apple mint for years, and now also have Orange mint and Kentucky Colonel mint. (I do well with plants labeled as "invasive" - they're wonderful! ) I'm growing lemongrass for the first time this year and plan to try combinations. Why do you avoid the mint stems? I haven't used them either, but would like to know any reason not to use them.
By the way, sometimes herbs become more bitter when they start to flower.
