  • i ran those lights when i did lighting for The Station (progrock/jamband). 12th & porter is a small awesome venue.

  • Green face singer guy has a tremendous voice.

  • if you dont like the band, then dont listen to them. myself i listen to hctm everyday!

  • @rabbit1539 I also heard that you like to stick penis shaped objects up your bum everyday....

  • For exclusive hctm videos check my channel.....

  • My son turned me on to this band...my daughter too...OUTSTANDING is all I can say. I might be 60 years old but I'm not dead yet and they make me so happy I just have to dance and jump when I hear them play. CDs all around our family now. GREAT sound and lots of too. What more could you ask for.

  • Just saw a poster for them at a local venue. My first thought, "CHRIST YES." I knew I'd love them before even hearing the music, and here I am, my ears wet with joy.

  • I'm thinkin' that solo trumpet player could be Adolfo Acosta from Maynard Ferguson and Tower Of Power.

  • I am a DJ & have been entertaining for over 15 years and introduced HCTM to one of my grandsons who is 17 and is the lead singer of his own band; while visiting him recently, he was listening to them while playing Xbox; needless to say, he likes them very much as I do. One must remember the members of HCTM are ALL Grammy award winners, etc., hence, the professionism and great quality you hear while listening and viewing them is not by chance. Refreshing in comparison to what is playing today.

  • so you guys rip off the gimmick of the Mummies except you make shitty music instead?

  • @GHOSTBONERZ

I was never able to even give these guys a chance because of that, it's been done in the 90's by garage rockers using energy! I can't help but say, "this isn't the mummies." whatever...

  • @GHOSTBONERZ You must be sky high. Go see these guys live. I guarantee you won't be saying "shitty" music. In fact you might even think this is the best band in the world. But unfortunately, you won't go see them, because you're too wrapped up in the Garage Punk genre, to even see a good thing when shown to you.

  • @GnautyChild honestly I listen to and enjoy a lot of different types of music but I guess I'm just not into the White Dudes Playing Corny Watered Down Latin Music While A Bunch Of Other White People Dance And Pretend Their Taste Is So Diverse genre

  • @GHOSTBONERZ Friend, it's got nothing at all to do with "taste is so diverse", and everything to do with loosening the hell up and having a good time! Buy a ticket when they come to town, I dare you. Go to the show.

And I can guarantee that nobody is claiming that their taste is diverse at these shows, seeing as how most of them only heard of HTCM through the Bob & Tom Show. I'm out, Got a show to catch.

  • @GnautyChild man, why would I spend $20 dollars to see a band I don't even like and be bored the whole time when I could spend $5 to see 5 cool bands in a basement with a free keg? I'm all for having a good time but this music is just so boring. I guess when my typical show involves being in a crowded basement with 50 or so crazy people losing our collective minds something like this seems completely uninteresting.

  • Genius!

  • Saw them at Decatur Fest.

  • I saw these guys live in Muskegon Michigan and their stage presence is phenomenal! I have NEVER had so much fun at a concert.

  • I just saw this guys at the House of Blues in Chicago... they are really fun!

  • I just saw this guys at the House of Blues in Chicago... they are really fun!

  • i know everyone says this, but seriously, how can anyone possibly dislike this?? 11 youtube users aren't human

  • UR FUCKED UP s

  • UR FUCKED UP

  • OMG! Seen these guys last night! They were awesome and it was a great time! Going to see them again in December!

  • Pretty good band

  • Saw them at Musikfest in Bethlehem, Pa. at the Festplatz tent...OMG!!! They had the tent jumping...Awesome band...Keep it going!

  • Hahaha! Penny-loafer music. Stay in the suburbs and outta real clubs.

  • @HATECITYGrampa Stay outta the suburbs lmao!

  • They're all composed of great musicians from popular bands but no one knows who they are

  • I saw these guys at Summerfest and they rocked the house! These videos can't possibly show the energy and crowd response.

  • @dmoody7 I was there too. I had never heard of them before and was pleasantly surprised. Fucking awesome band!

  • @dmoody7 I was there too and saw them, they kicked ass!!

  • I saw them at summer fest, now I am a fan ! What a fun show these guys put on. They are tight as hell!

  • @JimboMega57

    Likewise, they were awesomesauce.

  • @JimboMega57 I was there too! That show was nuts.

  • These guys killed it at Summerfest

  • Slipknot meets groovyness.

    Mummies rule earth!!

  • best latin rock since santana

  • My Dad loved these guys so much they were mentioned in his obit'!

  • @musewolfman

ohhhhhhhhhhhh...that is SO sweet, muse! Do you follow them as well? My husband and I have seen them 12 times in 18 months, or thereabouts. There are über FB sites, fan sites, etc. These guys are so infectious, that we now have at least 60 new friends that we have seen in the flesh, partied with, slept in their guest room, etc. etc. Your dad had exquisite taste, and you are lucky to have had him for the time that you did. Peace! :-)

  • i saw these guys on the bob and tom show on tv and ive been stuck on there songs ever sense then great music

  • This is fun stuff!!!

  • KathyG, I was also at the Tralf in Buffalo and it was the best show I've seen in a long time; they walk right by you coming into the club, and the show is absolutely incrediblel; got pix and autographs from the band, and can't wait 2 c them again; ERRRRR

  • thank to my dad i had to listen to this for a long time the fist song that stuck was this one god i love it, the saxes give a kick in tone

  • thank to my dad i had to listen to this for a long time the fist song that stuck was this one god i love it,

  • Just saw these guys last Friday in Buffalo, NY. Wow! I have been to a lot of shows in my lifetime but this was AMAZING! If you get the chance, DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW!

  • Did you guys know they made this song because it's the sun god? Ra is his name. And nothing to do on beneth the 'sun' Get it? IT"S BECAUSE OF RA!

  • Just seen these guys June 3rd in Columbus Ohio and it was awesome.

  • My step brother showed me this, AWESOME TOO COOL TO NOT SEE!

  • The mummies the punk band wasn't that good. Of course HCTM isn't 100% original with the mummy wrappings. Quite familiar with the mummies and from a lyrical and instrumental standpoint are superior. The current day Greenday makes the mummies sound like quality punk, otherwise the mummies are lacking............a lot.

  • My new favorite band. Love this song!!!

  • Caught 'em @ Pierre's in Fort Wayne last wkend live for the 1st time. What a blast!! See ya in Toledo ;~} !

  • bet they'd play the hell out of The Monster Mash!!!

  • What a fun show!

  • With all the great music in the world these guys are just an insult. Im only saying that because a guy at work talks about them 24-7 and its getting on my nerves. Meanwhile he cant even name a Beatles song.

  • @jmstew0319 Probably because the Beatles suck

  • @norcal06warrior Yeah, the Beatles sucked. All they did was change the face of music and society forever, not to mention the fact that they still outsell almost everybody. Don't you wish you sucked that bad?

  • @bobbydowns

Yep they did....They were great, for their time....

But a new and different group of extremely talented musicians has emerged and they also use the "mummy wrap disguise". Open up, grow up, and get over it. Do some research.

  • @whtshernme Do some research? That suggestion is in regard to what, exactly? And have you ever heard The Mummies (before being asked right now)?

And maybe the Here Come The Mummies loyalists need to "open up", as they seem to make a habit of thumbs downing or spam flagging every comment that's negative.

  • @bobbydowns Of course I know of The Mummies! I am of the age of them, The Ramones, etc.

We "loyalists" are just tired of explaining that HCTM were unaware of another band that dressed like mummies when they first formed. This has appeared in print a number of times. Just an honest duplication. They know The Mummies had it first. Think of it as paying homage to them by dressing like them.

  • @whtshernme again, what are you talking about with the "research" comment? And there's no "of course" with The Mummies: they're a small band who originally had all their releases on vinyl. And they're like 10-15 years of the Ramones age....AND if they hadn't heard of The Mummies, how would they be paying homage?

  • @bobbydowns The original Mummies had their own thing but don't even pretend that the quality of their musicianship comes close to these guys because it doesn't. The original Mummies were a friggin' half ass garage band. Get over it.

  • @raymar316 I didn't "even pretend" the musicianship of the original Mummies is better, but I'd say the quality of my grammar is better than yours. And that The Mummies music is better.

What have you got against The Mummies, eh? That their site, wikipedia page and videos comes up first in a google search even though they're barely active and don't try nearly as hard?

  • @raymar316 Actually, I could care less. Just stirring the pot for fun. Sorry you didn't approve of my grammar, professor.

  • Cool Music .. RA RA RA .. of course "RA" is the Egyptian Sun God

  • Saw these guys , by accident, on a HDNET TV concert series. They really cook!! This video just validates what I saw and heard. Love the play on words and Libido Knievel.

  • @SCTDVDLTL I saw them on that too. My first though was this is either gonna suck or kick some major ass lol

  • This video was my first exposure to Here Come the Mummies...that was 13 days ago, Bob Mckalister, and in that time you have cost me $239 in CDs, DVD, concert tickets, merchandise, and gas! Thank you for posting this and opening the door for me to this awesome band. ^_^

  • How can anyone not like this music?

  • @deputycat

u dont know wat ur missin dude

  • @deputycat You sure are not familiar with this thing call Funk. You should look it up, then come back good sir.

  • The 2 dislikes are from zombies.

  • @nickwreyford1 THAT, sir, was funny.

  • I love their music but really love their play on words. :) (RA -Egytian sun god)

  • @xxcallofGheroxx I'm adopted. And I listen to country (sometimes) And I think the mummies are fucking great. But how is calling someone adopted some kind of insult? Oh now I get it - you're an idiot!

  • Great talent! Very tight.

  • I am pretty sure the lead singer is Rob Thomas.

  • @bettyreh123 you know what that's the first thing i said. He sounds a lot like when he was singing with Santana

  • @bettyreh123 I know who the lead singer is. I can't say who he is but I can say that he definitely is not Rob Thomas.

  • @bettyreh123 Incorrect, try Thompson Brothers Band

  • Saw them live in Lexington, they're great! Whenever I listen to them I get giddy:)

  • I just heard this group on HD net yesterday and was very pleased love the horn section

  • @jcb8275 We were seated over near you guys at that show! I'd never heard of them before suggesting to my girlfriend that we 'check them out because it looked like it could be fun'.. • Two hours of non-stop high energy! The horn players always have the horns on their faces and blow their asses off! Amazing lead vocals from Mummy Cass and Oozie. You have got to see this group live! IT'S A PARTY!

  • i saw them last year at taste of bloomington now im goin to see them in concert tonight and again tomorrow at taste of bloomington again. i love the mummies

  • Wow, that was good. These guys can play very good live, and keep their timing perfectly. Would love to see them live.

  • Absolutely funkin' awesome!! Cannot wait for these guys to get close to Louisville.

  • simply unreal...unbelievable musicians! TIGHT!

  • I'm beyond thrilled that Here Comes the Mummies will be in Southern California in October!

  • I love this video. What a feel-good band. I just saw them about 3 weeks ago in Covington, KY. What a blast. Bought their "Everlasting Party" cd...so good.

Mummy Cass has great vocal, the horns are amazing. They are so tight.

Fantastic funk and jazz arrangements, hilarious double entendres. I just discorved their music a few months ago but I will be a fan for a long time to come.

  • They are so good in concert! Viva the Mummies!

  • This type of funk is much too latino sounding for my personal taste, and maybe my taste is too white, but they are indeed great musicians and very enjoyable to watch.

    :-)

  • I love trumpet man...he hits double G repeately, but the horn melody and countermelody at 4:10 is priceless. The guy with the hat, I wasn't sure he could really play but he can. He sings a lot.... Whomever arranges the horns does a great job. This is a great band, period.

  • You know what, people can say that whatever they want about their cheesy norwegian death metal bands, but this is real music, with true musicians. This is fun music that I can ALWAYS party to, even if it's 4 a.m.

  • The horn section is amazing, but my fav is stil the percussion in the band! Absolutly great, ties everything together.

  • These guys are fan-funking-tastic live!!! Seeing them again next week in Lafayette!!! Rah Rah Rah! : P

  • WOW! I had never heard of the band. And Tonight (4-17-10) I will be DJing an Opening set at the Fate Lounge in Pgh. I will be digging out lots of Funk and Soul with horns. Looking forward to a Great show.

  • Awesome Baby!!!!!
