This man is brilliant. Creating a movie about something that could so obviously happen realistically, yet so disgusting that no one's ever dared to pursue.... Props to this guy, really. You watch things like Wolf Creek where the girl gets head on a stick, and the Wrong Turn 2 in which at the beginning the woman gets cut in two. Tom Six is a really down to Earth guy and his idea for the film came from what would be an appropriate punishment for convicted peadophiles. You lot who are saying this film is 'sick' and 'disturbed' are like babies. Admittingly though I did imagine Tom Six to look more like M. Night Shyamalan :)

I just finish watching this movie. First and foremost it was shitty, the acting was for the most part awful, the idea is not possible and it's really pretty fucked up. I know the lady said that it was "medically possible" it's not. When the "head" eats his body absorbs the nutrients so the rest can't. Second, the is bacteria called E coli and if the E coli you ingest is different than the E coli in your bowels it can make you very sick. Then there is also dehydration and that works the same as

the thing that bothers me most about the movie is the surgical aspect. the idea of the stitches pulling whenever they go forward gets to me more than anything else in the movie. otherwise it was pretty boring

I'd even say some with strong stomachs find The Exorcist fairly tame by modern standards. If this shocked you in the era we live in now, then it's like The Exorcist of its time and it did its job as a true horror film.

Heres the thing. It was disgusting. It was interesting. And since some of the time you couldn't see what was occurring you had to create it in your head which made it worse. And don't say it's just a movie because this can happen. But it was pretty disturbing and I almost puked.
The movie was not that gory compared to many horror films out there. And there were some excellent performances..the guy who played the doctor was great. The idea was gross sure, but a lot was left to the imagination.

It's a horror movie. The goal of a horror movie is to creep you out. What makes THC "worse" than any other horror movie? What's up, a guy in a hockey mask hacking up teens in the woods is ok? Agreed. THC succeeds through the power of suggestion alone. It's one horror movie that for once, DOESN'T bombard you with gratuitous gore and instead forces you to imagine the true nature of the atrocity at hand.

John Kramer(original jigsaw) was really the only one who knew what he was doing
except the last saw movie. (SPOILER ALERT!) Hoffman just goes over the fucking deep end and makes it a killing spree. The first 3 are the best set, then it slowly goes down hill =/
@nightwishwolf999 I'm a huge fan of Saw. But I also love THC. There are alot of movies that show sickening stuff like this. Saw's traps are in fact different and creative, such as the classic headgear that slices your head off or the 'saw your leg off' chain thing. However, these movies aren't all horror has to offer. There's Sci-Fi horror such as Alien, classic horror such as Friday the 13th, and Psychological horrors (which in my opinion are the best) such as Silent Hill.
I'm a Saw fan, but saying that Saw has a good plot will just get us made fun of :$ It is of course just an excuse to slash people up. THC doesn't need an elaborate plot because the premise is so simple, which leaves less room for it to screw up with convoluted contrivances that critics won't buy.

One could argue that this movie is less disgusting than "Saw" in the sense that almost all the gross-outs are implied - not resorting to graphic, grotesque gore in the way "Saw" does. One could also argue that the dark humour and concept to this movie is far more original/clever than the traps and/or storyline in "Saw", and that there's little plot in either.

its a horror movie, it disgusted everyone and it did its job well, I saw this movie and i was fucking disgusted by it, Just the thought is fucking disgusting and thats the point of a horror movie. Better to watch this and be disgusted than wathching shroom or any other "horror" movie and be bored to death in 2hours.. the doctor was also amazing actor which I want to see in more horror movies.

this sick film puts ideas in sick people's heads. saying its 100% medically accurate so many times and even on the dvd box is stupid. there are actually people who would think about trying this. Did anyone ever hear of those two boys who kidnapped a kid and tied him to a railway cuz of the Saw movies? its fucked up and ridiculous. i don't understand why someone wud make this? btw its not "genius". there is no point in the film. aleast in saw there's a proper smart plotline. this is bullshit.

There's nothing controverial or frightening about this film. The acting is bad, the script is poorly written, and it's badly directed. The worst thing about is that people like me actually took the time to watch it. It's worthless crap. Don't waste your time.

Heres the thing. It was disgusting. It was interesting. And since some of the time you couldn't see what was occurring you had to create it in your head which made it worse. And don't say it's just a movie because this can happen. But it was pretty disturbing and I almost puked.

It's a horror movie. The goal of a horror movie is to creep you out. What makes THC "worse" than any other horror movie? What's up, a guy in a hockey mask hacking up teens in the woods is ok? No objection to that, eh? THC is the epitome of a good horror movie, and if you disagree, watch some more Hannah Montana. Sheesh, I've never seen such crybabies.

All people calling the director sick are such hypocrites. Why would they even watch it anyway? Curiosity for the abnormal and unusal is part of the human condition and explains our common hunger for horror. Even if we know we don't want to see something because we'll probably get scared or be filled with disgust by watching it we'll watch it anyway, like with a car accident on the motorway. What or who is sick is questioned by this movie, and does so succesfully in view of the fierce reactions

Saw is better then this for the simple reason, the traps are clever and only one or two of them are bad enough to loose your lunch.
'medically accurate' so what, still doesn't change the fact that's it's just plain disgusting. Saw actually has a good plot to back it up.

@dmoneyxd untrue; at least one survivor was in each of the movies or close to one. 3 of the traps were inescape*blame amanda*, hoffman was a terrible person because he was only interested in his corrupt vision of jigsaw's true intentions. John Kramer(original jigsaw) was really the only one who knew what he was doing

@nightwishwolf999 I'm a huge fan of Saw. But I also love THC. There are alot of movies that show sickening stuff like this. Saw's traps are in fact different and creative, such as the classic headgear that slices your head off or the 'saw your leg off' chain thing. However, these movies aren't all horror has to offer. There's Sci-Fi horror such as Alien, classic horror such as Friday the 13th, and Psychological horrors (which in my opinion are the best) such as Silent Hill.

I'm a Saw fan, but saying that Saw has a good plot will just get us made fun of :$ It is of course just an excuse to slash people up. THC doesn't need an elaborate plot because the premise is so simple, which leaves less room for it to screw up with convoluted contrivances that critics won't buy.

One could argue that this movie is less disgusting than "Saw" in the sense that almost all the gross-outs are implied - not resorting to graphic, grotesque gore in the way "Saw" does. One could also argue that the dark humour and concept to this movie is far more original/clever than the traps and/or storyline in "Saw", and that there's little plot in either.
